"Mom what will we do for thanksgiving?"

"I don't know yet Chan"

"When will you know?"I ask.

"Chaniëlle I do not know" my mom answers annoyed by the questions I've been showering her with for the past 45minutes.

"Will we invite friends again like last year?"

"Maybe Chaniëlle"

"Can I stuff the turkey this year?"

"Yes Chaniëlle. Whatever you want"

"Who will you invite mom"

"Chaniëlle I don't know"

"But mom it's tomorrow"

"I know honey"

"Did you get me a Christmas present?"

"Of course I did Chan"

"Well what did you get me"

"You'll see that for yourself on Christmas"

"What about my birthday present. I'm turning 23 on the 1st of January"

"Chaniëlle I'm your mother, so I know your birthday"

"Will we have a party?"

"Whatever you want honey"

"Will aunt Amelia come for Christmas this year?"

"For heavens sake Chaniëlle, you're driving me crazy. I'm trying to relax and read a book"

"But mom. I was just asking. I'm bored" I pout.

"Why don't you go and see if Chris is home. Then you can go shopping for thanksgiving. How about that?"

"Great idea. I'll call Megan too. How many guests will we have?"

My mom groans in frustration and covers her face.

"Fine! I'm going" I say.

"Finally!" She sighs.

Wow. I really wasn't trying to be annoying or something, I was just communicating. Well I was trying to communicate.

I go to Christian's house and just as my mom suggested, we go shopping at Target after we pick Megan up.

When we enter the store each of us get a cart.

"Where's the list" Chris asks looking at me.

Oh lord. I didn't make one! Great.
"Uum....List......yeah..uuuh.....about that..."

"For real Chaniëlle who goes shopping for thanksgiving without a list" Megan rolls her eyes, clearly irritated.

"Come on. It's not that bad. We'll just walk around and pick whatever we need. It's not that hard" I smile.

"Do you know how long that's going to take us?"

"Stop being so lazy Meg. It's gonna be fun" I say and start walking.

I hear the both of them groan behind me in frustration and I hear Chris asking Megan since when I was this optimistic, but I ignore him.

After walking for a short while with two carts already full, Chris and Megan start complaining about them being tired and me talking too much.
