Chapter 80

"It was all a fucking lie. One big lie." Megan cries.

"Who was that woman Megan?" I ask.

"It was Jay-Sean's mother." She says softly as I throw the box of tissues to the back without looking where it goes. Just the name of that guy makes my blood boil.

"What did she say to you?" I asks through clenched teeth.

"She just told me everything I needed to know. I've been the stupid one all this while. I should have listened to you when you said something wasn't right. He should get a damn award, because he did good at his game." She says and sits up to blow her nose. "You know what? I'm not even gonna cry anymore."

"Megan what did she say to you!" I ask again.

"Chill okay! Slow the damn car down! I don't wanna die a sad person!" She says making me notice how fast I'm going again. I just can't help it. "I'll tell you when we get home."

She leans back onto Sean and he puts one arm around her as the other plays with her hair. I know she likes when people play with her hair and it's going to calm her down. Only God can explain how thankful I am to Sean right now, because even though he has his own relationship problems he's still there for her. I bet it's because they can understand each other's pain.

"Turns out he's been playing me for a fool all this while." Megan says when we get home. "He told his parents a lot of bull shit about me to make them hate me and to get them to drive me away. According to his family, he and I had a deal where he paid me to be his girlfriend, but now I'm refusing to leave him and I'm planning on exposing his deepest secrets if he doesn't give me money. Like hell! I've never asked him for money, neither did I ever accept money from him."

"You have got to be kidding me!" I say closing my eyes to gain some control.

"I should have known. What I don't understand is why he didn't just say 'Megan. I'm sorry, but I don't want you anymore'. It would hurt of course, but I would respect myself and his decision and leave it alone. Right now this hurts way fucking more than it would if he'd just tell me. God I am so dumb. Now I realize that he was after one thing and when he got it he had to look for a way to get rid of me. I was just a tool to him. He used me like a... I don't know. Like something he could train himself on." She says as tears start streaming down her face again. "God! I'm so dumb."

"You're not dumb Megan. You couldn't have known. It's not your fault." I say, trying my best to stay as calm as possible. I swear, if I catch this dude I'm going to cut his balls off. I swear.

"Forget this shit. Just give me something to eat." Megan says and I point to the Mc Donalds paper bag on the table. Sean has been quiet all this while.

"Sean? Won't you eat something?" Megan asks right before I did.

"Naah, I'm not hungry. I'm just sleepy." He answers.

Megan pretends like she didn't hear him and puts some Fries, fried chicken and a few nuggets on a plate for him. He smiles when she hands him the plate and takes it. By now he's probably noticed that there's no use arguing with woman in this family when it comes to things like this.

Last time he was here my mom practically forced him to shower, change his clothes and eat.

"Wow." I say with an amazed smile. "Megan sharing her nuggets. There's some weird shit going on here." I chuckle. That is definitely the first time.

"Shut the fuck up." Megan says and I see Sean turning red tyring to hide his smile. I wanted to tease them about it, but my phone starts ringing.

Christian.

My heart skips a beat when I see his name appear on the screen. The frustration I was feeling melts away immediately.

"Hey baby." I say blushing as Megan and Sean roll their eyes.

"Hey princess. It's good to hear your voice." He says softly.

"I'm happy to hear your voice too. Aren't you supposed to be in a meeting right now?" I ask looking at the time.

"Yes I do. It's gonna start in a few minutes. I wanted to hear your voice before I started." He says.

"Aww that's too cute." I say smiling.

"Where's the gorilla?" He asks referring to Megan.

"Stop calling the kid that." I say chuckling as I look at Megan." She's right here, swallowing some nuggets."

"Let me guess. He called me a monkey?" Megan guesses with a full mouth.

"A gorilla actually." I answer and I hear Chris chuckling on the other side. Megan rolls her eyes

"Listen princess. I gotta go or else they'll murder me for wasting their time." Chris says.

"Okay baby. I'll call you tonight." I say.

"Okay. Great."

"I love you Chris." I say softly meaning every word.

"I love you Yelle." He answers and then hangs up. I stare at my phone when he hangs up, smiling unconsciously.

"He already hung up idiot." Megan shouts, startling me.
