I knew it was going to be something bad. I had the feeling. I look at Justin as he explains to me what happened between him and Selena. She told him a secret and he gave her some advice, but it turns out she didn't like the kind of advice he gave her at all. So she asked him to leave. Ever since then she's been ignoring him.

I don't know what to do or say right now. I've never seen Justin like this. Broken, worried and... in love maybe?

"I just thought since she likes you so much, you might be the only one she will talk to. She doesn't talk to her mom either. Plus I'm kinda worried about her." Justin says. His eyes are pleading to me to say yes.

"I don't know Justin. I mean I would love to talk to her and all, but she's also been avoiding me these past few days and..."

"I know. I know Chan, but please." Justin says cutting me off. "Just try for me okay? These past few days without her made me notice that she means more to me than I thought she did and I don't want to lose her. Please Chan." He pleads once more taking my hand and I nod with a small smile.

"I'll see what I can do" I say to him and his eyes light up a little as he takes a deep breath.

"Well, I can live with that. Thank you" he answers and gets up to leave. He gives me a small hug before he walks away. I also walk away from where we were seated, which is all the way in the back of the cafeteria and join our usual table.

I eat an Apple and drink some juice for lunch and then it's time for my next class.

After school Megan and I pick Sean up at NYU and we go to the park to just chill out.

Apart from our greetings and Sean asking if I got the bread to feed the pigeons and the ducks in the water we stay completely silent. No one says a word.

Sean breaks the big loaf of bread in two halfs and gives one half to Megan.

I guess I don't have to feed the birds, because I'm not sad? Whatever. I don't comment on it. I sit on the bench as I watch them from a distance.

After a good twenty minutes when they're out of bread Sean takes his shoes off, sits down on the shore and puts his feet into the water.

He taps on the spot next to him, probably inviting Megan to do the same. I smile knowing that there's no way she's doing that. She hates sitting on grass and there's no way she's putting her feet into water that isn't from an actual pool.

Sean is saying something to her that I can't hear because they're too far away and after some time she does it. Megan actually sits down on the grass and puts her bare feet into a lake. How the hell did he do that?

I've known Megan her entire life and never once could I get her to walk on grass with her bare feeth. Not to talk about getting her to sit in it or having her feeth in a lake.

My phone rings and pulls me out of the amazed trance I was in. I look at the screen with a smile expecting Chris, but I see an unknown number instead.

I usually just ignore those, but something leads me to pick the call.

"Mom? I mean aunt Chaniële?" A cute little voice says and I recognize it immediately.

"Drew. How are you darling?" I asks.

"You forgot me. You promised you'd never leave me." She says causing my heart to ache in guilt. She's right. After my party I haven't seen or spoken to her or her father.

"Oh honey. I'm so sorry. You're totally right and I have no excuse..." I say softly.

"I need you. My daddy is getting out of control and he doesn't want to get help. He needs you too. Please." She says and starts sobbing. Hearing her like this broke my heart so much and my eyes start to water.

"I'll be there as soon as possible. I promise."

"Don't promise me. I don't believe in promises anymore." She says and I hear Eldridge call her name. "I have to go." She says promptly and the lines goes death.

My heart is pounding against my chest and it's loud in my ears. A lot of things are going through my head. What could be wrong?

I look up and see Megan hugging a woman that's probably over the age fifty. After that she walks towards me with Sean following behind her.

"Chan I need to get out of here. Please take me home." She says clearly trying her best to keep it together. A tear rolls down her cheek and she fiercely wipes it away with the back of her hand.

The question of what's wrong is burning at the tip of my tongue, but I hold it for now.

Sean puts his arm around her and I hold her hand as we walk to my car in full speed.

As I start driving I ask her where she wants to go.

"Home Chan. Quiet home." She says and I understand that she means my house.

I stop by at Mc Donald's and get fifty nuggets and two meals for us to eat.

"Sean what happened?" I ask. Megan is crying as she leans onto Sean's chest, with his arm around her.

"Can you slow down a little. You're going to get us all killed!" He shouts and that's when I notice how high my speed is. I slow down and take a deep breath to calm myself down.

All of this drama is just driving me crazy.

When I calm down I ask again. "What happened?"
