"Wakey wakey your majesty!" Cordelia's voice echoes trough my room as she pulls my curtains open.

The sunlight lights up my room, causing me to groan and cover my head with my favorite pillow.
"Five more minutes. Please"

"Come on princess it's already eleven am. Get up!" She says throwing a pillow at me.

"No. I'm still tired" I whine.

"Fine, but your mom and Christian are going through your birthday presents" she says, knowing that that will get me out of the bed.

"They better not!" I say and immediately stand up on my feet on the bed to run out.

"Be careful on those stairs!" She yells before I storm out of the room and trip and fall.

"Or never mind. Go ahead and fall" Cordelia teases as she helps me up.

"It's not funny" I pout.

"It is actually. After so many years falling and hitting your head, you still haven't learned that you should take it easy in the morning" she says.

I groan and go down the stairs less hurried this time. Thank God I didn't roll off the stairs.

"Good morning" I say when I enter the kitchen, where my mom and Chris are seated at the table. Looks like they were having a serious conversation before I came in. A conversation that contained some scolding from my mom, seeing the fact that Chris looks flushed.

He's staring at his coffee as he bites his bottom lip. They both answer my greeting and stay silent after that.

"What'd I miss" I ask after I pour myself some coffee. Cordelia didn't make me breakfast, so I have to do it myself. I don't like making my own breakfast.

"Nothing much. We were just having a little chat" my mom answers.

"Oh okay. Can someone please make me a sandwich?" I plead.

After some time I realize that they're looking at me as if I grew a thirt eye, meaning they won't do it. "Fine I'll ask Cordelia" I say and get up to find her.

"She's busy Chan. Make your own sandwich. You're twenty-three for Christ sake" my mom says.

"But mom" I whine.

"No Chan. You have to do it yourself" she says.

Then I won't eat. I pout while stirring through my coffee. It's not my fault they spoiled me. I know I'm being childish, but I can't help it. There's something about making my own sandwich that makes me wanna throw up. Last time I made my own sandwich I couldn't eat it at all.

"Fine. I'll do it" my mom says and gets up to make my sandwich. My smile returns as I watch her make my sandwich.

She places it on a plate and places it in front of me on the table.

"You know. Sometimes I hate how much I spoiled you two. Your lives are too easy. Everything is done for you. I think I was just so desperate to make you guys happy after everything" my mom confesses.

"I love you mom. Thanks for the sandwich" I say taking a bite with a huge grin.

"I'm not spoiled tho. I'm cool" Chris says.

"Yeah right" my mom answers sarcastically. "There are important letters for you two. I want you to read them carefully after breakfast. They're on the table in the living room. Your names are on them. I need to take care of something. See you guys later" says my mom and kisses each of our cheeks before walking out of the kitchen.

"What's with the letter?" I ask Chris.

"I don't know. I was about to ask you... she was mad at me"

"Yeah? Why?"

"For 'disappearing' as she likes to put it. Said she was worried sick. I thought she would...you know... choose..."

"How well do you even know that woman? She'd kill for you, you know that. I'd be mad at you too for thinking she'd choose sides" I say cutting him off when I notice what he means.

He thought my mom would be mad at him and that she would take her daughter's side after the argument. But he clearly forgot that my mom considers him her own.

"I know. I was just... I don't know..." he says not coming out of his words.

"Forget it. My sandwich is way too good to get only half of my attention" I say taking another bite of my sandwich.

"Whatever"

"Help me open my presets later?"
"Uhhu" he answers taking a sip of his coffee.

"Did you get me a present?"

"Is it possible for me not to?"

After breakfast we decide to read the letters immediately.

The stamp of my father's company is on the letter, giving away where it's from. I hope everything's okay.

I read the letter through with shaking hands. I'm not ready for this.

When I look up at Chris he's nervously biting his lip and the look in his eyes says a lot. He got similar letter from his parent's company.

This is sooner than it should have been.
