My mom pushes him away startled when she hears Megan's voice.

I hear her mutter "shit" under her breath as she tries to catch it, while biting her bottom lip.

"Please send me back into a coma"

He whispers something I don't understand to her and she lightly hits him with her elbow.

I feel like an adult who caught her kids making out.

"Say something" he mutters to my mom.

"Shut the fuck up" my mom replies.

They look anywhere but at me. Both avoiding eye contact with me.

"What is happening here?" I say a little louder.
"Mom? Mr Wongso?"

"Uum... Actually, we were making out before you came in?" Mr Wongso says as a matter of fact.

I should have know it was him. There were so many hints.

Him suddenly giving me so many speeches.
Talking about "if I was his daughter"
My mom being being nervous about him coming over for Thanksgiving.
Her reaction when he came.
The way they spoke at the table.
His reaction when I made the joke about him and my mom, when we were in the store.

It all adds up. How did I not notice?

"That's just gross and duuh, I noticed"

I'm still staring at them with wide eyes. Shocked.

"I'll just.. go buy myself a drink. Anyone else wants one? No? OK bye"

Megan turns and leaves the room as quickly as she can.

"How..Wh..when did this happen? How long has..."
I sigh.

"Baby can we talk about this some other time? You just uum... You just came back and... Let's just uum..."

"Yeah... OK" I say and turn to leave.

"No wait!... I think you two should talk it out right now and get it over with. I'll just go downstairs and grab something to eat" Mr Wongso says.

He takes my mom's hand, gives her a little squeeze and walks out.

I'm not really sure if I want to talk about this now. But I guess we should in order for me not to stress about it.

What is there to talk about anyway?

"Are you mad?" My mom asks.

"Mad? why would I be?"

"I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or serious" she laughs nervously tugging a loose strand of hair behind her ear.

"I'm not mad mom. I don't have a reason to. I'm just shocked. I mean I knew you were dating someone, but I just never suspected that person to be my ridiculously hot teacher, who is employed by my mom"

"Yeah he's hot right? God he's so handsome"

She sits down on the bed with a goofy grin on her face.
