Attempting to clear my mind, I headed to Topanga's after school to help my mom. Farkle was behind the counter when I walked in, a huge grin forming on his face when he spotted me.
"Hey, you!" I smiled, leaning on the counter.
"What up riles, can I get you anything?" He smirked, showing off his work shirt. "Your mom gave me a part time job here, you know, so I won't be bored all day."
I laughed at his enthusiasm, joining him behind the counter. "How long have you been here?"
He checked his imaginary watch before taking off his apron. "Probably this afternoon, Mrs. Hart is supposed to be taking my shift, but she's not here."
Just as he mentioned her, she came running through the door. "Farkle!" She exclaimed, kissing his cheek. "Sorry to keep you waiting, I had.. Um... Some things to take care of."
I looked her over suspiciously, noticing the baggy clothes she wore. "Hi, Katy."
"Hey Riley, what's that whole thing with Maya about?"
"How'd you know?" I sighed, not wanting to think about the possibility of losing her friendship.
"I guess you could say a mother's instincts..." She trailed off, seeing her entering the bakery. Maya's expression was unreadable as she inched closer to Katy. I could tell she wasn't here for me, but for her.
"Maya, hi babygirl!" She smiled, kissing her forehead.
"Funny you say that." She mumbled, glancing downwards at the picture she held in her hands. "Mom, what's this?"
I gasped when I saw what she was holding. It was a sonogram, and Katy was tearing up at the sight of it. "Well I guess I can never keep anything a secret, huh?" She joked, turning to face all three of us. "I'm having a baby boy."

"His name is gonna be Joseph." Cory smiled smugly. We were all discussing names for the new baby, but Katy wasn't amused by any of our suggestions.
"It's just... No." She let him down easily, leaning into her husband, who raised his hand excitedly.
"What about... Shawn Jr!"
"We've been over this, Shawn. We're not naming him after you." Maya added.
"How about Aiden!" I suggested, earning wide eyed stares from everybody in the room.
"Aiden... that's actually really good." Katy whispered, smiling widely. Shawn agreed. "I like it, you guys like it?"
Cory nodded, along with Topanga and Farkle, who were helping customers.
"Aiden it is!" Said Katy, clapping her hands.
