"Riley, you shouldn't be upset at the school dance." Maya said, a hint of sympathy in her blue eyes.

"I know, but now I feel like a dipshit for even considering going to another college! Why am I such a..."

"Such a good person?" Maya finished. "You're not obligated to do anything for anyone that you don't want to do, Riles. It's good to keep an open mind, to keep your opinions open. If Farkle can't understand that, then it's his loss."

Without saying a word, I pulled Maya in for a hug, the scent of her rose perfume making its way up my nostrils. "Thank you." I muttered, leaving the bathroom. I need to stop running from my problems, and I need to find my boyfriend.
I scanned the crowd of dancing bodies and eventually spotted Farkle sitting alone at a table.
Taking a deep breath, I began walking towards him.

"Hey.." I smiled.

"Riley, are you okay?" He immediately asked, his blue eyes searching mine.

"Are you okay?" I whispered, sitting next to him on the white bench.

"I am now that I'm with you. I'm sorry I got upset, it's just.. I missed you so much while I was at Harvard, and I don't want to feel that way again."

"Farkle, even if we go to different colleges, you're not gonna lose me! Even if you live a thousand miles away, you're never gonna lose me. Not now, not ever.

Seconds seemed like hours as we sat here in the middle of the gym, surrounded by music and laughter. "I love you Riley." Farkle finally spoke, grabbing my hands.

"I love you even more."

He grinned and stood up. "You're never gonna lose me either. Wanna dance?"

"I have a better idea." I smirked, pressing my lips onto his. Farkle grabbed my waist, pulling me closer to him as he deepened the kiss.

From the distance I could hear faint shouting, and then in a matter of seconds, we were in the spotlight.
I felt my cheeks get hot, but Farkle just smiled down at me. "Jesus, you're so freaking perfect."
