It was beautiful. The scenery, the people, the dresses and the decoration. And I'm with the only person I would want to be here with. "Holy crap, they went all out." Farkle muttered, his cheeks flushing a dark red.
I chuckled lightly, leaning over to kiss his cheek. Knowing him, he was nervous. Mainly because he isn't wearing a tux, and two, because he technically is supposed to be in college, where all of the senior class thinks he is. If you know farkle, you know that he raises his expectations entirely too high."Wow," Maya breathed, looking around the unrecognizable cafeteria. "I just thought they'd do some lame theme and maybe serve us punch in a cardboard box."
"Very funny." Said Elliot, linking his arm with hers.
"Riley, I feel really... Weird." Farkle whispered, holding onto my hand tighter. My heart squeezed at the emotion in his voice. He's humiliated, who goes to a dance without a tuxedo? God, I should have just asked farkle to be my date in the first place.
"Farkle, I brought you a suit. You're welcome."
We all whipped around to see Lucas friar.
"Oh, thanks Lucas-" farkle began, but realized who was standing in front of him. "Lucas!" He exclaimed, pulling him into a tight hug. After a few awkward seconds, they pulled away, clearing their throats.
"Thanks man, I'm gonna go change!"
"No problem bud."
"Lucas? How, when, why-" I asked, the smile on my face impossible to wipe off.
"Well, I flew in earlier today, my grams is taking care of pops for the week. They figured this silly little dance is important, so here I am!" He spun around in his blue tuxedo.
"H-how'd you know I was wearing blue?" Maya asked, obviously still in shock.
"Yeah, and how'd you know farkle needed a tux?" I raised an eyebrow.
"A special person who shall not be revealed!"
I sucked in a breath. "It was my dad, wasn't it."
"Yeah." He chuckled. Maya clung onto his arm, and Lucas smiled down at her. "You look.. Stunning."
"You aren't too bad yourself, huckleberry!" She joked.
"What about me? Am I handsome too?" Farkle stood beside Lucas, playfully pouting. With his black and white tuxedo, messy hair, and black sneakers, he looked sexy as hell.
"Oh, most definitely." I winked, making my way over to his open arms. Elliot admired us awkwardly, but was saved when zay came rushing in the door, jumping onto lucas' back.
"You're back!"
"I am!" Lucas paused. "For one week..."
"Ah, man. That's enough time though, right?" He asked lowly, in which Lucas nodded. Enough time for what? I shook away my curious thoughts and continued to watch the reunion that was us seeing Lucas again after several months.
"So are we gonna dance or what?" Elliot exclaimed.
"Of course!" I smiled, following him onto the floor.
"Riley!" Farkle called after me. "Wait for your date!"
"He was my date first," I teased. "You're gonna have to wait your turn!"
