The rain tickled on his window, I didn't talk much to him as he was busy being a dickhead. His girlfriend tried to be nice but didn't do a really  good job. I simply filmed him working out. My camera was still on, filming his living room, even though I was editting his morning video. It was Tuesday and it didn't help that he was an asshole yesterday.

"Babe, can we go out tonight?" His girlfriend, Mikaela questioned.
"Well the season continues in about two weeks, so I need to eat healthier." The annoyed tone in his voice caught me off guard.

I guess that was a no.

"But your cooking is horrible." His tone stayed the same. You can't tell your girl her cooking sucks buttplugs. I stared at my screen pretending not to listen.

"How can you say that?"
"Your lazy ass wanted to go out." This was a video that I couldn't use.
"Why don't you cook?" She snapped back at him. "You're the one who needs to eat healthy."

With that I got out of the kitchen chair, making my way to the fridge and grab the ingredients for their dinner.

"What else do you have in mind!" Her voice loud and filled with anger.
"Do you guys like pasta?" I interfered in their yelling match.

They stared at me before nodding.

"Then stop yelling." I murmured and turned back to the ingredients.
"When did you learn how to cook?" Max mumbled as he and Mikaela walked up to me.
"Does it matter?" I grabbed the chopping block and started chopping tomatoes before placing them in a bowl. "Can you grab me a pot?"

It was then they both started to help me. I just asked for pots and pans, a few cups of water and what not.

"Food's done, grab a plate, take a seat and shut up." My eyebrows knotted together as I took my place behind the laptop and started editing. My ear buds in my ears and getting every bit of the video correctly.

After an hour of editting and the other two leaving their plates on the table and cuddling on the couch. Somehow it irritated me, didn't they learn to clean up after their own asses.
I closed my laptop and got up.

"Have a good night." I waved before I opened the front door.
"Aren't you going to clean up?" Mikaela questioned.
"I get paid by Red Bull, not your boyfriend." I turned to her. "I now understand him saying that you are lazy."
And that's how my first day of work ended. Not too long after my bestie called.

"Yes?" I knew I sounded distant.
"Damn, could you be anymore distant?" His voice sounded sad.
"Sorry mate, I just had a horrible day." I walked to my apartment. "How was training?"
"Went great, full out running." He chuckled. "What went wrong today?"
"Max was fighting with his girl, me cooking for them and her expecting me to clean up." I muttered.
"Max has outed his frustration about her awhile back." Daniel sighed in the phone as I reached my apartment block. "I doubt they'll stay together for long."
"I just wished they were nicer." I huffed as I walked the stairs. "Maybe it wouldn't feel like the biggest mistake ever."
"It'll get better, don't worry."
"If it doesn't get better within a year, you owe me half of your income." I chuckled as I entered my apartment.
"I'll make sure you move to Australia then."
"Deal, princess."

We talked for another hour, I ate yesterday's food and past out on a decent hour.

"Morning." I grabbed my coffee and smiled at the tanned man.
"Figured you be still sleeping." Daniel kissed my cheek. "Had a good sleep?"
"Past out after dinner, on the couch." I scrounged up my face. "How bout you?"
"Between a girls legs." He shrugged, knowing how I'd respond.
"Protection?" I didn't bother yelling at him, like I normally would.
"Yes mother." He rolled his eyes.
"Good."

My eyes turned to my hands. It had been awhile. Not that anyone had to know.

"Are you still with that Derk guy?" The Australian pulled me put of my sexless thoughts.
"No we've been done for months." I shook my head, I grabbed my ' I'm with the Aussie's mug and took a sip. "Plus I am now located here, wouldn't want myself getting worked up for a guy that lives across the sea."
"Seems like you got that well figured out." He rolled his eyes.
"Dude, don't." I shook my head.

He knew how to get me to spill the beans. Just as how I knew how his mind worked.

"So dry for months." He winked.
"Pretty much, yeah." He knew me all too well. "I don't do random hook ups."
"I know, you should though." He smiled before jokingly telling me to work his magic stick. Once again I rolled my eyes. It didn't take long for Max to ruin our friendly feud.

"Morning Dan." He smiled to his teammate. "Jaden." His voice was distant, no real friendly tone in it to be found.
"Hey mate." Daniel stood up, a sympathetic smile towards me. "See you when you're done?"
"I'll call you when I'm done." I agreed.
"Shall we go then?" His voice bored and unfriendly as fuck.
"Sure." I grabbed my camera and pressed record.
"Good morning, today I'll be showing you the simulator and what not." He sounded happy, at least he could fake his emotions for his fans. "I'll be getting ready for Spa."

I just filmed him, not really paying any interest to him. Even though I wished I could have a better relationships with him.
It wasn't that I didn't give a rat's ass. I sure did but the more he'd treat me as shit the less I could care for him.

My phone vibrated in my back pocket, there went my thoughts.

"With Jaden." I told the unknown person on the other side of the line.
"Good morning, Jaden." Christian Horner.
"Hello sir." I stared at Max his lap times.
"Is it possible to come to my office, in about 10 minutes?" Oh shit, two days in and getting called into the office doesn't seem to good.
"Yes sir." Max was loosing time. "Max don't go full on the breaks, just let gas go and make the turn."
"Come again?" Horner responded.
"Sorry sir, I'll be on my way." I hung up.

I stared at Max, who was simply humming to himself.

"Max, I'll be back in a few." I informed him before rushing to Horner's office.

I was going to get sacked within two days, at least Daniel would be able to see me more often during vacations.
