Three words, three meanings, one shot
One phrase and a battle of thoughts
How simple it sounds to just say them at once,
Like ripping off a band-aid, yet the damage had been done
It doesn't hurt you, because there was no surprise attack
No mental breakdowns and no fighting back
Of course in the end it's all about your courage,
Your standing up to me and battling my rage
Because no matter how much I wish day and night,
While screaming and crying and knowing they were right
"I love you" weren't the golden three,
That night, you said you were replacing me.
