Have you ever felt lost, in the dark you're hidden,
When everyone else wanders in the light, the forbidden
You're left behind, in the shadows you stay,
While they're out enjoying the beautiful day
They hurt you in ways they won't ever know,
But you won't ever tell them that, you're pain won't ever show

Have you ever felt lost, in the dark you hide,
They've forgotten you altogether, you're left behind
While the rest of the world seems to be shouting with glee,
You're left crying for help, desperately
Would anyone ever hear you, or your despondent silent tears,
Would anyone understand you or your emotions, thoughts and fears

Have you ever felt lost, left behind,
Now they truly know you and your vulnerable side.

Have you ever felt lost or left behind? Have you ever felt like you're the type of person in the group that is always forgotten? If so, don't fret. Everyone feels that way sometimes. Just know that there are people out there who do care about you, they're just not ready to come and tell you that themselves in the fear of getting hurt. Seems like a petty reason? In their books it's not. Soon it'll all come crashing down on you just how much they really love you. Wait for that. Hold on, stay strong, because soon everything will go back to the way it was, if not better.
