When I walk up to you and pour out my heart,
Will it end well?
Will you even notice how much it hurts,
Without me having to tell?
When I walk up to you and give a piece of my mind,
Will you care to say the least?
When I pull you in close for the very first time,
Will you be Beauty or the Beast?
When I finally choose to admit those words,
Will you make me feel relieved?
When I'm finally strong enough to come clean with my thoughts,
In me will you truly believe?
When I'm finally sure of my feelings for you,
Will you look me in the eye?
When I finally spill the secrets bottled up,
Will it be 'hello' or goodbye?
Ready or not, here I come,
I'm finally ready to speak,
I'm ready to face my fears at last,
With nerves and excitement I'll shriek
Whether it's yes or no from you,
It doesn't matter to me,
Because I have the courage to speak my mind,
But can you just say yes, please?
