The Butterflies

Have you ever had that feeling of nervous anticipation, 

You're nervous, yet excited, it's a heart-warming sensation

You can never sit still, and you're mind is always racing,

Your eyes always shining and the fears your heart is chasing

The 'what if' scenarios keep playing in your head,

And you wish you could get over with it, just face it instead

You feel your heart pounding, yet singing with joy,

You feel like dancing, yet your arms have been deployed

Everything feels like it's finally falling to place, 

Yet that one part of your heart is still not in the jolly state

What if something goes wrong, what if it's the end,

And the butterflies take off and the nervousness starts again.
