Can I block away the emotions, just block away the pain,
Can I have a change to forget, can I repaint over the stains
Can I put a stop to the downpour, and wipe away the tears,
Can I go straight to the future, can I face all of my fears
Would I be able to walk away, from all the shambles of the past,
Would I be able to disguise, with a well- concealed mask
Would they still remember me,for the side they saw tonight,
Would they now outlook the person I was, that they'd left behind
Should I now move on with the pack, or have I forever been shunned,
Should I just grab a hold of myself and into the woods I'll run
Do I want to catch up and make amends, or just escape from the world I knew,
Do I want to protect the last shred of dignity I possess and not leave even a clue
For once I do not question and stretch out a hand, to the vulnerable side who fell,
For once I choose to embrace it as broken as it is, my ever formidable outer shell.

Abandoned is about embracing your true personality no matter how much you'd want to conceal and outdo yourself in order to be someone else- someone stronger, wiser.
