They take you right up, right off the ground so low,
Higher and higher, with each moment they'll go
Catching sight of oceans, grasslands, riverbeds and seas,
The world looks so much more beautiful, when you are off your feet
Up till that day when you were boarding your flight, nothing was worth seeing,
But once you reached the heights of paradise, you feel in the midst of dreaming
Every passing moment puts your mind at a challenge, viewing the world at a different height,
People got smaller and trees even taller-it was truly an astounding sight
Eventually it was time for the plane to land, and mark the end of the journey,
But it's important to remember the height of excitement, this one contraption had brought me.

Have you ever had those moments of instant joy when that one person was around you and when they're gone you feel like a part of you is missing? You feel elated and just plain happy all the time being around them!
That's quite what Aeroplanes is about.
A friend asked me to try writing a poem like one of my previous ones - Pineapples, where I disguise the poem in such a way that you read it blindly, but later you read it again with a deeper meaning hidden inside it. Well, I hope you found the hidden meaning behind this one!
If you have any ideas or thoughts you'd like me to write a poem on, I'd love to hear them and write on them. Do comment if so!
