Louis POV

"Lou, tell your wife to get in here before we begin eating without her."

Niall looked at me, and by the way that he was eyeing the chicken, I knew he was being serious. Looking around the table, I saw that everyone else agreed with him too. Truth be told, Reagan had been in the kitchen for 7 minutes, and I had no idea what she was doing.

"She made most of it", I said getting up, "So, no you can't start without her. I'll be right back."

All of the children had gotten restless waiting for her, so they were already eating. After LJ shot me a toothy grin, I walked out of the dining room.

"Reagan?"

.”...here, I don't want to hear the rest of what you have to say. I'm surprised that I've tolerated it for this long."

I'm not sure who she was on the phone talking to, but by the tone she was using, I knew it was no one she liked. When I walked in, she smiled, then turned back to the phone.

"I don't care.......No, I'm not naive, and I'm not stupid either."

"Babe", I whispered, "who are you talking to?"

Instead of answering, she held up a finger and continued her conversation.

"If he did anything, I trust him to tell me himself. He obviously hasn't done that, and I believe that there's nothing to tell."

Who is she talking to? Who is she talking about?

"Listen to me, Ang", my heart dropped, "I don't care to hear the rest of your story. Louis is happily married to me, and there's no way you're going to convince me differently. Have a good night."

Reagan hung up the phone and stared at the ground. It took her a while, but she finally glanced up to make eye contact with me.

"Okay...” I began, "Wanna tell me what just happened here?"

"Nothing important", she said, wrapping her arms around my neck, "Just someone trying to ruin my perfect day."

If Ang called here, that can't be anything good. Why is my heart beating so fast? And, why are my palms sweating? What did she tell her?

"Princess, who were you talking to?"

"Babe, do you work with a girl named Ang?"

"Um, yeah. Why?"

Reagan dropped her arms from around my neck and jumped on the counter. When I just stared at her, she opened her legs and motioned for me to step between them. I wasn't oblivious to the fact that she was wearing a dress, and I now had the perfect view. Realizing that it wasn't the time to bring that up, I stepped forward and kissed her nose.

"She called here asking to talk to me."

"Okay", I said, egging her to continue, "And what happened?"

"Nothing really. She just spat out a whole bunch of nonsense about how I don't know my husband as well as I think I do. She just said that you skipped your lunch break today to be with her."

I rolled my eyes at that. If you're going to lie Ang, at least lie well.

"So after I told her that you were inside of your wife on your lunch break", I smiled at her choice of words, "She admitted to lying about that."

"Oh", I replied, laughing, "Well, I'm glad that she came clean."

"She had to", Reagan smiled, "She was caught in her own lie. Then, when I proceeded to hang up, she stopped me and told me that it wasn't her you were cheating on me with, it was someone else. I asked her to tell me who this supposed person was, and she said she was sworn to secrecy. Apparently we're 5 years old and still rely on pinky promises. Anyway, the rest of the conversation you walked in on."
