Reagan POV
"I'm about 3 seconds away from punching you in the balls."
Josh was making me mad. No, scratch that. He was pissing me off. He hadn't stop pestering me since I got to work. Not like I didn't have enough to deal with, I had to put up with an obnoxious pain in my arse. Why me?
"As long as it's your hand down there, have at it, Doll."
"Go away, Josh."
"What is wrong with you?"
I silently prayed that Sam would walk in soon. He was taking a long time to bring some menus in from the caterer. I'm starting to think he was doing it on purpose. That bastard.
"Nothing, I'm fine."
"You're lying, Reagan. I'm serious. What's wrong?"
He inched closer to me, and I took a few steps back. I was not in the mood for him.
"I'm serious too, Josh", I told him.
"Something is obviously wrong. You're not answering your phone. You told Sam to only let you know if the twins' daycare called, and you look sleep-deprived. What. Is. Wrong?"
"NOTHING! Look, Josh, you're not going to be my knight in shining armor this time. So, leave me alone."
Seemingly unaffected by my comment, he shrugged. I rolled my eyes when he grabbed my hand.
"Either you're on your period, which isn't a surprise because you've peed like 5 times in the past hour, or you're in a fight with that husband of yours."
How did he know that?! Ugh. Just another reason how he pisses me off. He's so intuitive.
"I don't know what you're talking about", I lied.
"Yes, you do. You're wearing sweatpants to work, which you know Sam highly disapproves of, your hair looks like it hasn't been combed in 2 days, and you have bags under your eyes."
"I'm sorry I don't look perfect. Excuse me for being average", I sniped.
"I think you look beautiful", he responded smoothly, "I always do..even now. But, your deviation from your usual wardrobe tells me that something is wrong. What happened?"
Feeling a little warmed by his comment and flattered that he was so attentive, I felt badly for snapping at him. I was not in the mood to be so much as spoken to, but that wasn't his fault.
"I'm sorry, Josh. I'm not in a good mood right now, and I took it out on you. That wasn't fair."
"Nothing is ever fair when it comes to you, Doll, considering the fact that it's not fair that you're with Louis and not me. But, I digress."
"Josh..."
He laughed and rubbed my shoulders. It actually felt nice, so I didn't tell him to stop.
"Sorry. Since you're in a bad mood, I'll save my comments for later. Do you wanna talk about it?"
Before I had a chance to rudely say no, the door opened and in walked Sam and some really pretty blonde. She smiled at Josh, who got up from where he was massaging me and walked over to her. Not knowing why, I looked away when he hugged her. Sam eyed me, but I ignored him. He was still upset about my choice of sweatpants today, but after a few choice words from me, he decided to let it go.
"Hi, babe", Josh said to the blonde, "you found the place okay?"
"Yeah, after stopping a couple of people. I finally did", she flipped her hair over her shoulder and looked at me.
