Reagan POV
"Josh, open the door. I'm not kidding."
I had been knocking on this door for 23 minutes and 15 seconds. In that amount of time, I had thrown things at his window, swore numerous times, and thought seriously about finding a brick to break something.
"Open. The. Door. I don't want to have to be out here all night."
After I had forced Louis to tell me where Josh was, I refused to speak to him. I told LJ good night (Liz was already asleep) and promised to be back soon. Louis had tried to get me to stay, but I wasn't having it. He told me that Josh told him where he was going just in case he needed to contact him for my sake. Of course, Louis had neglected to tell me that information.
Big surprise there.
Eventually, I got sick of Josh not answering me and I was actually on my way back to my car. I wasn't going to give up, but I'm pretty tired and didn't feel like dealing with this tonight. Right when I had almost made it all the way down the long driveway, I remembered something. He keeps the spare key in the potted plant beside the door.
Sprinting there while praying that I was right, I found out that I was. Stupid. If he was trying to escape gang members, leaving your key in an obvious place wasn't very smart.
"Josh?" I called out when I finally made it into the house and threw the keys on the counter.
As I searched, I saw that everything in the house was packed. Sam was right. He really was leaving. That thought only pissed me off more as I made my way to the last floor. The bastard really was going to leave and not tell me.
"Josh?"
I knew I had found him when I walked to the 3rd floor guest room and saw his feet propped up on the bed. Sam wasn't kidding when he said that he looked like he hadn't slept in days. Josh's hair desperately needed to be cut, and he needed a good shave.
"Go away."
"No. Did you seriously not hear me calling you this whole time?" I asked.
"I'm on the top floor, Reagan. What do you think?"
"I think that you have security cameras. And, if you didn't hear me, the cameras would've told you that I was here. Considering the reason that you're moving in the first place, I'm sure you're paranoid enough to be continually watching the cameras."
"Did Louis tell you where I was?" he asked, ignoring the fact that he knew I was right.
When I sat on the bed next to him, he stood up to my annoyance. But, I kept my mouth shut for now.
"Yes, he did."
"Leave it up to that dick to do the one thing I ask him not to do."
"He's the dick? No, that's you for telling my husband, who you despise might I add, information that you should've told me."
"I only told him in case he needed me. I told him that if anyone named Andrew contacted him, he was to call me or come over immediately. But, he was told to not mention my name or whereabouts to you at all. He agreed pretty quickly to that part."
"When did you even have time to do this?"
"After Emma's funeral. Whenever I left, I figured that you'd ask him to stay there. So, I gave him a head's up. I gave him my contact information and told him that I was moving away in about a month. Which is pretty obvious considering everything in this house is packed up."
