Song on the side I love because it's about military families so you should definitely listen to it!

Reagan POV

“Whose turn is it to sleep here?”

Trinity has been in the hospital for 3 days. She has been heavily sedated for most of that time. She can’t be on certain type of stuff because anything given to her will also be given to the baby, so there is a lot of talk when it came to what exactly is going to be injected into her veins.

Other than the news that both Trinity and my niece were currently okay, we hadn’t gotten much information. Harry has been one of the only people that was allowed to constantly stay by her side, and he has done everything in his power to avoid me. Julian was extremely confused right now and was also avoiding me. Once he overheard everything, he didn’t give me a chance to explain and rushed out. Harry muttered something about “it probably being for the best” and ran after him. Considering the situation, I figured it was best to not force anyone to talk to me, and I had given them their space.

For now.

Carson had asked to come, but after Harry threatened to cause a scene if he so much as stepped a toe into the building, that idea was squashed pretty quickly. I didn't agree with that because aside from his previous actions, Carson really did love my sister. But, Harry wasn't in a listening mood especially when it was me doing the talking.

In all of the fuss, I had put off going to the police station to find out who died in the fire. It just didn’t seem important right now.

“I’ll do it”, Avery spoke up, “Zayn has a late shift tonight, so as long as one of you can watch Taj, I don’t mind staying.”

“He can stay with us”, Niall said, nudging towards himself and Imani, “It’s not like we have anything else to do tonight.”

“Hardy har har, you dick”, Imani used her prosthetic to kick him, “Complain all you want, we’re still not sleeping together.”

“Another cold shower for you tonight”, Josh mumbled from beside me, “How many will that make?”

“4 alone this week.”

Even though none of this was a laughing matter, everyone managed to chuckle at that. If we needed something to take our mind off of why we were in the hospital, Niall’s lack of a sex life was the way to go.

Kadin played with her fingernails as she tried to focus on anything but us, and Zayn was running around the hospital trying to do his job. All of the children, except for my nephew, were at the daycare, but it closed in less than an hour, and we needed to leave to go get them.

“Mrs. Tomlinson, can I speak to you for a moment?”

The doctor walked up causing all of us to practically leap from our seats.  Surprisingly, neither Harry nor Julian were behind him so I assumed that they were still with Trinity.

“Has anything changed, Doctor?”

“Unfortunately, no”, he shook his head, “She’s still asleep right now. But, I do have some news albeit probably not the news you’re looking for.”

“What?”

“Even though both of them are fine right now, that won’t last for too much longer. I’m sure you’ve been informed of her condition when it comes to having children.”

Ignoring the looks from the rest of the boys, I just nodded, urging the doctor to continue. I would explain and be judged for everything later.

“Very well then. It’s the same thing that’s happening now. There’s a chance that both she and the baby will be okay.”
