Reagan POV
We had been waiting too long for my liking. None of the doctors were giving us any information, and Avery wouldn't stay still. Aside from any children, everyone was here. Liam was hand-in-hand with Kadin as they discussed something. Niall had his face in his hands, swearing constantly. Harry was trying not to look at Trinity, who was sat on the other side of the room. Try as they might, they both kept stealing glances at each other. They're such children. Ignoring my complaints, Louis and Josh were right next to each other. I told Niall to sit in the middle, but after some not-so-nice words in my direction, he walked away. Since we were all extremely concerned about Zayn, I excused it.
Everyone was a little on edge. I was on edge for multiple reasons: my pregnant sister refused to speak to her estranged husband, it was only a matter of time before someone figured out that Louis and I weren't together, my first love was in a hospital bed right now with no one giving us any updates, and last but not least, the 2 most hot-headed guys I know were sitting right next to each other, fists clenched and each trying to show their inane, non-existent possession over me. Sorry starving kids everywhere, but I think I have it rough.
"Someone has to tell us something", Kadin said, "It can't be legal for us to have next to no information."
"We could bother Avery", Harry spoke up, "But, she actually seems a little unstable right now."
I could tell that Trinity was trying her best to bite her tongue, but she wasn't succeeding.
"Can you blame her?", she said, "Her boyfriend is lying, possibly on his deathbed, and she has to continue working as if nothing is happening! They won't even let her stop her shift to check on him."
"I know some women that continue as if nothing is happening", Harry stood up, "Well, maybe only one in particular."
All eyes were on this odd couple as we realized that they were actually getting ready to argue in the middle of a crowded hospital. Their timing was always great.
"I think I know this woman that you speak of", Trinity said, "She isn't continuing as if nothing is happening. She's merely giving this deadbeat husband of hers what he wanted."
"And, what is it he wanted?"
Neither of them were standing down as Harry moved closer to her and Trinity put her hands on her hips. Even Niall, who had spent most of the time crying, couldn't take his eyes off the pair.
"He wanted nothing to do with her anymore. He told her that he wanted a divorce!"
"That's not what I-he said!", Harry shouted, "He said he needed time away from her! He needed time to think! I think that was a small favor for him to ask considering that she was ready to lie down with another man anyway!"
"I-she didn't do anything! She stopped it!"
"The fact that she was ready to do it anyway is enough for him!"
"Trinity, Harry", Liam stood up, "Maybe this isn't the time and certainly not the place for you two to have this discussion."
"No", Harry wiped his face, "This discussion is long overdue. Trinity, he-. I love you. Still do, to my ultimate misfortune. But, you were ready to sleep with the man that made you into the cynical person that you are today! I love you regardless of how many times that you roll your eyes at me. I love you in spite of the fact it's hard for me to think of any redeeming qualities about you. Do you know how much I tolerate just by being with you? I've never cared that you used to strip because it was something you enjoyed. You are by far the most difficult person I've ever been with, possibly even met, yet I can't picture myself with anyone else."
