Reagan POV

“Princess, get out of the way.”

When Louis managed to get Josh off of him for a couple of seconds, he looked at me and urged me to move from off the couch. I wanted to, I knew I needed to, but I just couldn’t bring myself to move. My eyes were glued to them. But, I didn’t really get a chance to decide because someone pulled on my arm in the opposite direction, forcing me to get up.

“Kai? What are you doing here?”

This was the first time that I had ever seen her dressed down. She was in a long t-shirt and leggings, and she still managed to look better than me in my fitted t-shirt and shorts. Curse that woman.

“I saw on the news that Josh was released a couple of days ago and figured I should come and see how Louis was taking it”, she nodded in their direction, “Obviously not very well.”

“That’s an understatement.”

We turned our attention back to the fight where it seemed like Louis was getting the upper hand.  Louis shoved Josh, and Josh lost his balance immediately.

“That was a sneaky move”, Louis said to him, “Attacking me when I wasn’t expecting it. I expected more out of you.”

Josh got back up fairly quickly, ducked when Louis reached out to punch him, reached his right foot up, and pushed with as much force as he could muster. Louis got the wind knocked out of him and closed his eyes for a little while as Josh stood over him on the floor.

“It’s no secret that I don’t like you”, Josh smiled, “So this should’ve been expected. Not my fault you’re a bit unobservant.”

“No, but it’s also not my fault that you’re just jealous that Reagan slept with me.”

Kai looked in my direction, and I focused my eyes on the boys. I didn’t need her disapproval also. Not right now.

Josh brought his knee up when Louis stood back up and caught Louis in the stomach so hard, Louis began coughing immediately. Josh stood behind him and wrapped both of his arms around his neck, squeezing hard.

“That’s choking him!” Kai yelled out and I kept my eyes on Josh.

“Not, it’s not”, Josh rolled his eyes, “If he’s coughing, he’s obviously getting some kind of air. It’s when he stops coughing when you should be worrying. I’ve done this before so-.”

Whatever Josh was getting ready to say was lost on me as Louis elbowed him in the stomach. Josh stumbled backwards, giving Louis his chance to escape.

“Maybe all that talking you’re doing isn’t going to do much for you”, he taunted Josh as Josh kept a hold on his stomach when he stood up.

“Louis, Louis. I’m glad to know that you have some confidence, but let’s be serious. You learned your moves off of some stints in prison.”

“Your point?” Louis asked, backing up as Josh got closer and closer.

“I learned mine from being in a gang. Who do you really think is going to win this one here, huh?”

I knew the answer to that as Kai muttered to herself something about “When was he in a gang?” As much faith as I had in Louis, he didn’t fight much. His last fight was 5 years ago with Zayn, and that one came out as a draw. Josh used to do this for a living, and he had way more practice. It was disappointing to be able to guess the outcome of this fight.

“I think the one that wins isn’t going to be the one who cried over being in jail for a couple of days.”

Josh punched him at that comment, but it didn’t seem to faze Louis in the slightest.
