Reagan POV
Don't judge me.
I'm stalking her.
I'm stalking Kai.
Louis and I haven't spoken about her at all. I'm not even sure he realized that I had met her. He was so oblivious. I was waiting on him to say something, anything about her. He was working with his ex-girlfriend? The only other girl that he's loved besides me? And he didn't think that was something he should've ran by me? I probably wouldn't have cared, but the fact that he kept it from me spoke volumes. Just what exactly is he trying to hide?
When Harry told me the truth about her, he had to pull me out of the building. Literally. He had to pick me up and pry me out of the chair and into the parking lot. My intent was on killing her. After I killed Louis of course. He was to blame for the whole thing. But, after Harry drove me home and calmed down after multiple tries, I got back to normal. I was still pissed at Louis, but I guess I could hide it well because he hadn't noticed. Either that or he just didn't care. I was trying hard to tell myself that it wasn't the latter.
Back to the task at hand. I was sitting in my car in front of Wendy's. Kai had walked inside about 10 minutes ago with some little boy who I assumed was her son. It would be much easier to hate her if she didn't seem like a genuinely good person. She was definitely a people person. Don't tell anyone, but I did a background check on her. The only thing that I could find on her was the fact that she was going through a divorce and that she has a 6 and half-year old son. Other than that, she's like freaking Mother Theresa. Never been arrested or anything like that. Unlike me who killed her father. Wanna know what she's planning right now? She's doing something for charity. Charity! Ugh, she makes it impossible to hate her.
I used to think that Louis traded up when he married me. Now, I'm not so sure. Even I would do her. The tight, fitted peach colored dress that accentuated her every feature. Her hair was falling in waves around her shoulders, and her smile could light up a room. Ugh, this is so-.
"I'm flattered that you're stalking me, really. But, I'm going to have to draw the line at you stalking me when I'm with my child."
I froze at the voice. Wow. Not only was I stalking my husband's ex-girlfriend/possible woman that he's cheating on me with, but I wasn't even doing a good job at it. Do better, Reagan.
"I'm not-."
"Following me around for the past few days?", she said, flipping her hair over her shoulder, "Yes, you are. I've pretended not to notice, but you're not that great at it."
"Rude", I huffed.
"Rude? Like stalking?"
She had a point. But, of course I wasn't going to let her know that.
"I really don't mind, Reagan. I think I have an idea of why you're doing it, but you're making my son uncomfortable."
"I apologize."
I couldn't feel any worse right now. Not because I was stalking her but because I got caught.
"No need", she said, "You boosted my self-esteem just a tad."
"I'm not following you because I'm interested in you", I said, getting out of my car.
"I know that. Still flattering."
She glanced back at her son in the restaurant who was playing with another child and walked to lean against the car next to me.
"How long has Louis been working for you?"
"About a year. There's nothing going on between us anymore if that's what you're going for."
Anymore?
