Josh POV

“Pack your bags.”

Reagan eyed me as I walked downstairs and sat right next to her. She raised her eyebrows when I picked her feet up and put them in my lap, ignoring the pouting from Bentley at the realization that his spot had been taken.

“What are you talking about?” my very adorable girlfriend asked.

“You and I are going on a trip.”

“No, we are not.”

I’m not gonna lie, I was a little irritated at her lack of enthusiasm. But, considering how little she had spoken to me in the past 4 days, it isn’t that big of a surprise. I wasn’t sure what was going on, and bearing in mind her attitude, she had no interest in explaining herself.

“Yes, we are. You need it. We need it.”

She just examined her fingernails as she thought about what I said. Reagan knew I had a point. She had been quite distant lately, and at first I thought that it had something to do with Louis still missing. I tried to reassure her that no news was better than bad news, but there was only so much I could do. Even so, there was something about her that told me that there was something I was missing, that she wasn’t just worried about Louis.

“Even if I wanted to, Josh, I couldn’t. The twins need their mum, I have to work, and I need to stay by the phone to hear stuff about Louis.”

“Trinity and Harry have already agreed to watch the twins and Bentley, Sam was all too happy to give you the time off, apparently you pissed off a potential customer a couple of days ago, (sounds familiar), and as for Louis? Doll, that’s why they made mobiles. Waiting by the phone is not going to help find him.”

“I can’t just leave.”

“Reagan, I love you. But, one thing you have got to understand is that you can’t be here for everyone. It’s only for a weekend. Sunday night, I promise you can go back to being your worrisome self.”

I said that it was for her, but part of the reason was for me too. To be honest, because of her attitude over the past couple of days, I was scared that our relationship was in trouble. She kept looking at me like it was the last time, and I didn’t like that.

"What about you missing work?"

"Sweetie, it's my company. I just gave them the weekend off."

“Where are we going?”

“Is that a yes?”

I didn’t bother to hide the elated smile on my face. Since she has said yes, that told me that maybe we had a chance. Maybe we weren’t as broken as she was making us seem right now.

“It’s a yes”, she smiled.

It was the first smile that I had seen in 4 days, and I stared at her for a full 15 seconds before coming out of my trance. Not caring if I took her by surprise, I pulled her face to mine and kissed her. She smiled against my lips before kissing me back until she finally had to pull away.

“We’ll finish that later”, I said, pulling her to my chest and resting my chin on her head, “But, we are going somewhere that I have been wanting to take you forever. We are going to Glasgow to meet the only living family member that I am actually proud of.”

“Who?”

“My brother.”

“Baby, they’re here!” Adelaide screamed.
