Reagan POV

I don't know what time it is. I don't know what day it is. I don't even remember the last I showered. I think it's been a week since my mum...left us. I think it's been 3 days since her funeral. That's about all I know, and even that is a little fuzzy. Trinity went back to work today. I went the opposite way; I quit my job. Sam told me that he didn't accept my resignation and to take the next 2 weeks off. He thinks I'll be back eventually. He thinks wrong.

Zayn got suspended from work. I overheard him tell Louis it was for allowing a patient to come into the operating room during surgery. Zayn was supposed to forceably remove me, and since he didn't, he got suspended for the next 3 weeks. Should I feel badly? Immensely. Do I? Not even a little bit. I just don't care. I don't care that he's missing out on a paycheck because of me. I don't care that Louis has taken off work to keep an eye on me at home because he's afraid I might off myself when he isn't looking. I don't care that he's calling my name right now, and I haven't even made an effort to answer.

I just don't care.

"Reagan?"

Again, I just stayed there. I stayed there staring at the ceiling. I wasn't even on the bed, too much effort.

"Reagan? What are you doing?"

"Contemplating how many seconds it's gonna be before you leave me alone."

"Very funny", he rolled his eyes.

"I'm not kidding, and I'm still counting. 10, 11.."

"Definitely not. This is my room too."

"Well then, I'll leave."

"Reagan, stop being childish."

I didn't bother answering him as I stood up. Without sparing him a glance, I walked towards the door, hoping to go downstairs. He, annoyingly, blocked my path.

"You have 3 seconds to move before I kick a part of your body that I used to treat very nicely."

"You wouldn't", he dared me.

I was not in the mood to argue, much less in the mood to continue to talk to him. So, when I raised my knee up with as much force as I possibly could, Louis hit the ground.

"Witch", he said through clenched teeth.

"The kids aren't here, and I know what you actually meant. Leave me alone."

He didn't stop me as I walked down the stairs, probably because he could barely walk right now. I had about 5 minutes of silence before I heard him come down the stairs.

"Do you need a repeat of what just happened? Was the message not clear enough?"

He rolled his eyes again, but he was smart enough to stay across the room from me. He's not as dumb as he looks.

"Reagan, you can't keep doing this."

"I'm not sure what you're talking about nor am I the least bit interested. Go away, Louis."

"That's exactly what I'm talking about. You're being mean to me and anyone else that you talk to for no reason."

"It's not for no reason. You're just highly annoying."

"As you are right now."

"Yet you're still here talking to me. Maybe you are as dumb as you look."

"Reagan!"

"What? I keep telling you to leave me alone. But, no. Looks like you want to stay here and be insulted."

"I don't want to stay here and be insulted", he edged closer, but he was still pretty far away, "I want you to talk to me."
