Third Person POV

The light sound of clattering dishes wakes Taehyung up.

He grunts, eyes still shut, hands roaming around the bed in search for Jungkook. He opens his eyes when he's unsuccessful.

Once he sees Jungkook isn't in the room, he sits up, rubbing his eyes lazily.

Taehyung groans, slipping out of Jungkook's bed and putting on some shorts and a t-shirt before heading to the bathroom to brush his teeth.

Once finished, he quietly heads down the stairs and his nose is greeted with a sweet aroma.

Strawberries and pancake mix?

Taehyung's stomach growls as he makes his way towards the kitchen, tiptoeing.

Once he fully enters the kitchen, he sees Jungkook, his back towards him, wearing a thin robe and mixing something with a whisk.

Taehyung smiles at the sight, walking towards him as he slyly snakes his arms around Jungkook's waist. He feels Jungkook body slightly jump.

"Morning, baby." Jungkook coos and Taehyung rubs his cheek along Jungkook's back.

"Goodmorning," Taehyung murmurs as Jungkook continues to mix whatever it is he's making.

"What're you making?" Taehyung curiously asks.

"Pancakes with strawberry whip cream." He answers and Taehyung almost starts drooling because he loves anything with strawberries in it.

Jungkook grabs a fresh, ripe strawberry from a bowl and turns around, facing Taehyung.

He shoves the strawberry in Taehyung's mouth and Taehyung happily chews on it.

"Mm, more please," Taehyung asks but Jungkook shakes his head.

"Wait, I want you to try the strawberry whip cream, see if you'll like it." he says, swooping down and easily carrying Taehyung to settle him on top of the counter.

Jungkook moves, standing in between Taehyung's legs and dips his index finger in the sweet, pink mixture. He hovers his finger over Taehyung's lips and Taehyung gladly sticks his tongue out, licking almost all of it off his finger.

Taehyung inserts Jungkook's finger all the way into his mouth and starts swirling his tongue along it, staring at Jungkook with half lidded eyes.

Jungkook moans, slipping his finger out of Taehyung's mouth and leaning over to press a passionate kiss onto Taehyung's lips.

Taehyung moans, closing his eyes shut. Jungkook can still taste some of the strawberry on Taehyung's tongue before he pulls away.

"We can't do this in here," Taehyung whisper shouts but he looks flustered as hell.

"Why not?" Jungkook asks, thumb dragging down Taehyung's lower lip.

"Because your mom's here," Taehyung explains and Jungkook chuckles.

"No she's not." He says, leaning over to kiss Taehyung's nose, letting it linger for a bit.

"She went for her morning jog," Jungkook says, hand resting on Taehyung's thigh as he rubs in a circular motion.

"So how'd you sleep last night? Was it comfortable?" Jungkook asks, moving out of his position to start cooking the pancakes.

"I slept great. Your bed here is way better than the ones back at the dorm," Taehyung says and Jungkook agrees, fixing three separate plates with pancakes.

He sets three pancakes on each platter and Taehyung watches how he adds extra whip cream and strawberries on one of them. They hear the front door open and Jiyeon waltzes into the kitchen, wearing a grey tracksuit and breathing heavily.

"Oh my, that smells delicious. Thanks Jungkookie," She says, helping herself to one of the plates on the counter.

"Hey, Taehyung. Did you sleep well last night? Remember to let me know if you need anything." Jiyeon says and Taehyung smiles, hopping off the counter and grabbing the plate with extra strawberries.

"I slept really well, thank you."

Taehyung's POV

The remaining of the day was spent chatting about random things with Jungkook's mother. Time flew by fast and soon it was time to go to sleep.

Jiyeon yawns, getting off the couch she was situated on. "Good night kids, I'll be going now." She says, flashing a smile before heading up the stairs.

I turn to face Jungkook on the couch, yawning. "I'm pretty tired too. Let's sleep," I say and Jungkook nods, grabbing my hand and leading me up the stairs. We both strip out of our clothes and get into the bed.

I throw my leg over Jungkook's and hug his torso.

"Mm, good night Tae." Jungkook says lazily.

"'Night."

-

"Taehyung, listen to me. Your uncle back in Seoul has offered to pay for your university fees. The train is leaving in less than three hours." My mother explains, shoving a travel bag in my arms.

"You need to go. It's the best thing to do. Trust me, Tae." She continues, eyes tearing up.

"Mom, no. I can't just leave you with, with him. What if something happens?" I say and my mother sadly shakes her head.

"I just want the best for you, Tae. Now go. Mommy loves you." She tenderly says, hugging me for what may be the last time.

"What is going on here?" A loud voice booms through the house.

"Taehyung, go!" My mother hisses, shoving me out the door.

And that was the last I ever saw of her.

-

I wake up in the middle of the night. My face feels wet and my breathing is all unsteady and weird. I didn't necessarily have a nightmare. Just a flashback about my mother. I didn't realize until now how much I miss her.

I let out a shaky breath, my breath getting caught in my throat in the process. I sniffle and Jungkook's body turns around to face me as he groans.

"Tae?" He asks, reaching over in the dark to find my own body. He pulls me into his arms, lips finding my cheek.

"Tae? Why're you crying?" He asks once he feels the dampness of my cheek. I let out a small whimper, tears flowing rapidly now. Jungkook shifts, leaning over to switch the lamp on.

His eyes squint as he looks at my puffy eyes. "What happened? Are you okay?" Jungkook asks, quickly wiping my tears away and holding me close.

"I-I just miss my m-other," I hiccup, closing my eyes to try and stop my tears.

"S-S-Sh-e," my pathetic attempt at forming words goes unsuccessful and Jungkook pulls me against him, his head buried in my hair.

"It's okay, baby. I'm here," He murmurs and I start to relax a bit at his soothing words.

"J-Jungkook?"

"Yes?"

"P-Promise me that you'll n-never leave me," I hesitantly say.

"Of course I won't. I promise I won't ever leave you."
