Chapter 33

I started the day at Brooke's locker and we were joined by Haley.

"Hey, Brooke... uhm, please don't get mad at me for asking this but do you know anything about the stolen test? You were failing and then got an 'A' all of a sudden I am so sorry for asking this..." Haley sighed.

"No, it wasn't me. We studied really hard the night before and it paid off." Brooke said, giving a half smile, "I'm sorry."

Haley sent an apologetic look before leaving while Brooke and I headed to Calculus for another fun day. We entered the room to see Principal Turner standing before the class.

"Alright everyone, take your seats." He began, then started to hand out papers. "We're going to have a little pop quiz... I know someone in this room cheated on the last exam, so in order to find out who, we are doing it this way. Once we figure out who did it then that student will be given their punishment."

I glanced at Brooke and saw that she was worried.

"Hey," I whispered getting her attention, "You got this... we studied." I smiled.

She gave a small smile in return and focused on the test. I met up with Brooke outside after class and we decided to walk around and not think about it.

"I mean... If you think about it and want to lighten the mood... stranger things have happened in this school than someone just cheating on a test." I said, wrapping an arm around her.

"Oh yeah? Like what!?" she smiled.

"Hmm, well Brooke Davis is dating a virgin... So I was told." I winked.

Her smile widened and just as she went to give me a kiss, a voice came over the intercom. "Brooke Davis to the principal's office please. Brooke Davis to the office."

"Wish me luck!" She said, then giving me a quick peck on the lips.

I sat around waiting at home, looking through old pictures of Haley and I. My thoughts came to a halt when Brooke came barging in.

"I passed! I didn't fail!"

"Baby, that's amazing!" I smiled, taking her into a hug.

"I also have some pretty big news to share with you." She smirked, "Victoria's Secret wants to fund my clothing line! I would be in stores all over!" She cheered, then slowly it faded, "But, I have to get Peyton to sign over her artwork to me."

"Well," I said, stroking a stray hair behind her ear, "Maybe it's time to put all that anger behind you, ya know? Move forward so you both can do something more." I finished and placed a kiss on her forehead.

"Yeah, you are probably right." She said through an eye roll, "I'll meet up with you at Nathan and Haley's later, okay?" she smiled.

The party was already full of fun and interesting things. Apparently, this was our way of celebrating the state championship since some of us spent that night in a hospital. I spent the beginning portion talking to Haley and was given an interesting offer.

"You know, Toby, you should totally move in here with us too! There's a spare room, you could help us keep an even better eye on Deb, and you could save money!" Haley smiled, getting an agreeing nod by Nathan.

"Yeah, it would help both of us out." Nathan smiled.

I nodded, "Yeah...Alright, sure!"

Brooke came in out of nowhere, planting a rather intense, and hot, kiss on me.

"I'm not complaining... but what was that for?" I laughed.

"An apology... For taking so long to get to you." She smirked.

I shook my head and gave her yet another kiss, until there was a noise coming from the other room. "You go check that out, I'm gonna go sit outside." Brooke said, fleeing the area.

I followed the noise just in time to see Rachel get slapped by Haley before storming off. Then, for some reason, she had the hugest smile come to her face and reached for me.

"He's kicking! The baby!" She smiled, placing my hand on her stomach.

I couldn't help but smile and look at my sister. I engulfed her into a hug before letting Nathan feel his son kicking.

I found Brooke sitting, alone. So I placed my jacket around her shoulders and took my spot next to her. "What's got you out here?" I asked.

"I'm just worried about Rachel." she sighed.

"Hey," I gave her a nudge, "She has a good friend like you, Brooke. I can assure you she will be okay. You're a good person... Especially when there is a party going on in there but you're out here worried about a friend." I smiled.

"You're too sweet." she looked at me, "Any chance you wanna kiss such a good person."

"Hmm, maybe. But only on one condition."

She raised an eyebrow, "And what might that be."

"Only if you go to prom with me." I smirked.

"Of course I will!" She smiled and wrapped her arms around my neck as she placed a loving kiss on my lips. "I'll catch ya inside."

I found Haley in the crowd, but just as I went to speak an interesting video came on. It was of Nathan, probably years ago, filming what seems to be a sex tape. We couldn't seem to figure out who the other girl was yet... That's when Nathan and Brooke came in laughing and soaked. Then, Brooke's face appeared in the tape. My jaw clenched... I was hurt. But why? It was so long ago and they both had changed immensely since then. Somehow, I still found myself feeling hurt. I looked at Haley first who was already looking at me, then to Nathan... and then finally Brooke. There were tears in her eyes already as though she had convinced herself I was going to leave her. 

Before anyone could speak, Peyton stepped up and punched Brooke directly in the face.
