Chapter 3

Harry's pov-

I awoke with the stiffest neck, and a complete dead leg, I look down to see Ruby passed out on my knee, her tear stained face still looking broken. I don’t know how long I've been asleep, it was so hard to even sleep for 10 minutes with Jess and Niall on my mind, and Ruby of course, the news it hit me hard you know, my best friend I just couldn’t believe it, but Ruby it hurt her so much and I realise I'm going to have to be there for her. Just as I got up to find the doctor he walked towards me with a worried yet sympathetic look on his face, the hope of good news slowly fading in front of my eyes.

“How are they doctor?” I asked.

“I'm afairad its not good news, I would of told you earlier but you both need sleep for youre own health, Niall was pronouced dead at 2.55 am and Jess just before at 6:10 am , I'm so sorry for your loss.”

I couldn’t believe it, I knew it was bad, the accident  but people get through these things, Niall hes so strong, Jess even stronger  but they lost this last battle and with that the tears formed completely blurring my vision, I sunk back into the uncomfortable hospital chair, with my head in my hands completely sobbing. I heard quiet cries next to me to see Ruby had woken up, putting two and two together seeing how distaught I was, she knew. I didn’t have to say anything, we understood each other.

Ruby's pov-

I could hear him sobbing, it was worse than we he first arrived at the hospital and I knew that meant only one thing, I just lost it, I feel like I've done nothing but cry today. Harry must have heard my cries as he turned towards me, he pulled me onto his knee and wrapped him arms tightly round me, you would never think this was the boy that I went on that awful date with. We sat in silence just our muffled cries between us as we sobbed into each others shoulders. I didn’t have to say anything, we understood each other. We sat for what seemed like forever comforting eachother, until we heard our names called.

“Ruby Winters and Harry Styles?” A well dressed man asked us.

“Yes that’s us.” Harry replied for us both.

“My name is Ollie white, I'm a laywer, I finalised Niall and Jess Horans will, they also gave me this letter that was supposed to be given to both of you, if anything happened, I don’t know what it says but I thinks it time you read it." He told us passing Harry the letter. Harry took the letter from Ollie with wide eyes, her opened it and began to read it to me.

To Harry and Ruby,

We hope you guys are together when you're reading this letter, we also hope you’ve put your differences aside by now. You are our best friends, no you're more than that you're family. You both mean so much to me and Niall. Ruby we've been best friends since primary school, we grew up together and you you've been with me through everything, growing up, teenage years, when I met Niall, our wedding, I honestly couldn’t thank you enough for everything you’ve done for me. And harry, I don’t know where Niall would be with out you, we actually probably  wouldn't of even met if it wasn’t for your meddling, but in the long run I'm so so glad you did. Like we said you're our family and we both love you like family. We know if you're reading this letter than were no longer here but we also know Alexa is, she is our pride and joy and I know both of you treat her and love her like she's your own, you're like her second parents and she needs you at this time more than ever. We both needed to know that if anything did happen to us Alexa would have someone, a family, she is a child and she needs a stable life, so that’s why we've put you both down to be Alexa's legal guardians. We realise you both live you're own lives and we don’t want any of that to be taken away, we also realise you both don’t get on as well as me and Niall would of liked however what we both do know, we are putting all of our confidence in the both of you to make this work for Alexa. We will never be able to repay you, if you give Alexa the family she needs but I hope she grows up to be payment enough. Please make sure Alexa knows how much we loved her, b t I know she will still feel that love from you two. We love you both so much, please stay strong for Alexa.

I was completely speechless, tears were streaming down both mine and Harrys' face, just one look at each other and we immediately knew what to do, hand in hand we walked to Alexa picked her up and engulfed  her in the biggest hug' between me and Harry she was safe and loved, and in this moment I realised me and Harry, we were bound together.
