Ruby’s POV

I woke up on something hard as I looked up I smiled at the sight above me. Harry. I had slept with him last night as I was still a bit shaken up by the whole breaking in incident and I asked if I had could stay with him in his bed. He seemed more than happy to comply which I was glad about. I had laid on Harry’s toned chest with his arm protectively wrapped around me. I watched Harry as he slept, he looked so peaceful - beautiful really. His curls messy and tousled over his face which I leaned to push away from his face, his eyes fluttered open carefully and he gives me a smile once he finally adjusts his eyes to the bright lighting. He pulls me onto him fully so I am lying on top of him with, my stomach on his chest, I looked up at him and he pouted his lips I lean over and place a single kiss on his lips, he suddenly flips us over so he is leant over the top of me not fully applying his weight as I lie helpless underneath him. He places single kisses to the side of my mouth, down my jaw and eventually reaching my neck, peppering wet kisses and gently sucking and nibbling on the skin. I giggle which he smirks too. He sits me up to take my top off when we hear wailing.

Alexa crying.

He sighs and rolls his eyes, “We do have a child now” I laugh as I tell him. He agrees and we both go to check on her, as I’m about to walk out of Harry’s room my phone buzzes from the side cabinet I grab it and tell Harry I’ll be two minutes.

I check my phone and I have two messages from Ellie:

Ellie: Rubyyyyyyyy! I haven’t saw you for ages babe, do you want to catch up today?

Ellie (2): RUBY!?

I laugh at her impatience and quickly reply back.

Ruby: I would love to. Shopping?

She replies back saying of course and we decide to meet outside the food court at 12 so I have over two hours. I walk to Alexa’s room and hear Harry’s deep voice singing to her to sooth her tears, he’s singing ‘Isn’t she lovely” and he sounds adorable. I walk into the room and sit on Harry’s knee while giving him a shy smile while he returns it and carries on singing. I hug into his toned, tanned body while watching Alexa.

"Hungry babe?” Harry asks while grasping his fingers under my chin and rubbing my cheek with his thumb. I nod into his shoulder, and his chuckle vibrates onto me “What a surprise” he says jokingly.

“Hey!” I playfully punch his shoulder. He deeply chuckles again while we get up and carry Alexa into the kitchen to make breakfast.

“Are you doing anything today Ruby?” Harry raises an eyebrow

“Erm yeah” I half smile

“Oh... ok. Where you going?”

“Shopping with Ellie if that’s ok? I can take Alexa with me if you’re busy” I ask

“No, not with her” Harry shouts “I mean... erm I was going to ask if you wanted to go out with me” He looks disappointed.

I sigh “Harry, we can spend tonight together when I get back?” I ask “I haven’t saw her for ages and she text me asking if I wanted to go”

“Pleaseeeeeee” He pouts

“Don’t give me that face” I sternly say “now I’m going to be ready, do I need to take Alexa or are you going to watch her”

He sighs “I’ll stay here with Alexa” I walk over to him and straddle his lap, he places his hands on my waist and softly kisses me. I smile at him and walk away to get into the shower. Once I shower I decide on wearing blue jeans with a white blouse with little ducks on it with a leather jacket and brown suede boots. I apply light makeup and leave my hair natural but clip a bit of it up at the top.

I walk into the kitchen and Harry drops his toast on his plate, I laugh and my cheeks go a shade of pink.

“You look beautiful babe” Harry winks

“Thanks” I giggle while leaning into him “I have to go now” I pout

“Noooo” he grabs a hold of me and I run out of the door and over to my car “I’ll get you later” he smirks

I laugh uncontrollably “Say goodbye to Alexa for me babe” I smile

“Will do” he shouts as I pull out of the drive

When I arrive at the food court I am surprised to see Ellie already there when she’s always normally late. I frowned at her as shes biting her fingernails and looks extremely nervous, she just half smiled.

“You’re on time for once” I shriek at her while giving her a hug.

“I guess” she laughs “I haven’t saw you for a while Rub, where you been?” She cocks an eyebrow

“What are you implying?” I smirk

“You and lover boy” she says but I can’t help but think there is something else laced into her playful tone.

“Hmm” I reply

“What does that mean” She rushes

“Nothing Ellie! Why are you so interested?” I raise my voice

“I’m meant to be your best friend, me you Katy and well... Jess. We always stuck together but you don’t tell me anything anymore since Jess died” She huffs

“It’s hard for me you know” I shout “We were inseparable, we done everything together. She was like my sister and I look after her child now! She’ll always be a big part of my life missing”

“Am I not enough” Ellie mumbles

“Grow up Ellie” I spit

“I'm so sorry Ruby” She starts crying “I just want us girls to stick together” She sobs into my shoulder as I pull her into a hug.

“We will, don’t worry” I sigh

What the fuck is wrong with her, why is she acting so weird? I’m going to find out and get to the bottom of it. I just need a plan...
