Chapter 37

Ruby's pov-

I look across at Harry, he's staring at Zayn with his jaw clenched. I know he heard what Zayn shouted but luckily he ingnored him getting into the car slamming the black door behind him.

"What did he mean by that?" I asked Harry while at putting my seatbelt on.

"I don't know Ruby, just ignore him that's what I do anyways." He still seems angry so I don't question him any further, he better not start any arguments with me tonight, it wasn't my fault that Zayn has pissed him off. We drive back home and I carry Alexa inside.

"I'm going to make Alexa's tea, can you look after her until I've got it ready?" I ask

"Yeah course I will babe, do you want to order a pizza for us tonight since it's Friday?" He replies

"Yeah that would be nice." I'm surprised at his mood, but glad he's calmed down. I walk into the kitchen and grab the packet of small pasta shells and boil water in a pan until they're soft and fully cooked, I add in tomato soup as a sauce and wait until the pasta is warm but not too hot for Alexa, I pour it in her plastic bowl, and place it on the highchair that will soon be too big for her.

"Harry it's ready will you bring her in?" I called. Soon enough he comes crawling in on the floor, Alexa running after him, I can't help but notice the slight parts of Jess and Niall where you can so clearly tell she's their daughter. I watch them play around until I know it will soon go too far, and Alexa is most likely to fall, so I quickly grab her and put her in her highchair, and passing her a spoon. She starts to eat her pasta, ending up with tomato sauce all over her mouth and soon fingers when the spoon she was using ended up on the floor.

"Harry do you want to order the pizza now?" I asked Harry while wiping Alexa's face after she finished her tea.

"Margarita?" He asked knowing it's the only one I like.

"You know me too well." I reply picking Alexa up and taking her up to bed. I took off her tomboy outfit she had on today, and put her into a pale pink baby grow on and put her into her cot, I sit by her playing the nursery rhymes on her baby mobile until she's asleep which isn't long. I walk back down the carpeted stairs to the smell of pizza, I go into the kitchen expecting Harry to just be at the kitchen table, but when I hear shuffling in the dining room, I walk in to see Harry sitting at the large dining room table, with out pizza in the middle, a candle and 2 glasses of wine. The smile grows on my face and his, he still never fails to surprise me. We sit together enjoying each other's company for over four hours until it's midnight and we both start to get tired, I stand up to start putting the plates away, but soon Harry is standing up behind me, I feel his arms around me.

"Let's go to bed, we can do this in the morning." He whispers in my ear, whilst carrying me bridal style upstairs.

Harry's pov-

I wake up to the sun shining through the window, I look to my left hand side to see Ruby still asleep beside me still nestled into my chest my arms still wrapped around her body. I wish I didn't have to go to work, but as I check the clock beside me I realise I only have half an hour until I said I would meet Banks. I hop in the shower and throw on black jeans and a grey jumper. I write a quick note for Ruby saying I've gone to work and stick on the bedside table at her side, and swiftly kiss her lips without waking her up and walk out the door.

Once I arrive at work I head straight to Banks office, and walk in after knocking once. I'm surprised when all the lights are off and no ones here, I walk back out confused, when Julie, Banks secretary walks towards me.

"Harry, Mr Banks, told me to tell you he sends his apologies but he's ill and can't come in today, I have this file, that you will need, and the person you were supposed to be interviewing is unable I come in unless Banks is present so you will have to make a home visit, you've been before and knows where it is haven't you?" She rambles as I try to take everything in.

"Okay, thanks Julie and yep I know the place." I say grabbing the file from her hands. "See you later." I say walking back to my car. I hear my phone go off a grab it seeing Ruby's name flash across the screen, I unlock my phone and check the text.

from Ruby:

Thanks for your note babe, hope works not too bad, I'm going out with Jack my old school Friend today, Alexa can come with me and maybe go to the park. See you later:) I love you x

To Ruby

Okay babe, have a good time. I love you more x

I reply before driving to Kyles flat. It doesn't take long until I'm back at this tip, I can remember how bad it was the last time and I think somehow it's gotten worse. I walk up to his door, recognising the wooden frame, and I looks even more worn than last time. I raise my hand to knock as it opens and someone walks out bumping straight into me with, he lifts his head up and I expect to be met with Kyle but instead it's someone else. I take in his features and I know I've see him before it's not until he says sorry and looks directly at me that I remember, Jack, Ruby's friend. But what would he be doing here?

So here's another update since we didn't  update for while until yesterday. I hope you liked this chapter, this story is really coming together now, so it's getting exciting.
