Chapter 29

Harry's pov-

I've ignored countless calls and texts during the week from Ruby, I know I should've let her explain but all I can think about is his lips on hers and not mine. I've done nothing all week just slouching around Liam's flat, watching telly to fill my time, luckily I haven't been called into work this week, and I'm glad I don't think I could've dealt with the case on top of everything else.  

It's about 6 pm and I'm alone in Liam's flat, starting to get hungry, I go to pick up my phone to order a pizza but I'm stopped when I hear the front door open to Liam walking in. 

"Hey Liam I was just about to order a pizza, you want anything, or have you eaten?" I ask. 

"Actually we're going out to eat, you've moped around in this flat all week, you need to get out." he says  

"Thanks for the offer mate, but I don't think I'm up to it." I reply, not wanting to face anyone. 

"I won't take no for an answer." he shouts. "Go and get a shower, we're leaving at half 7." I know Liam will make me go no matter what, do I do as he says and go for a shower, once I'm out I dress myself in fresh black jeans and a black t-shirt, putting on a black blazer and tied a light blue bandana to push my hair back from my face. I check my clock on my phone and see it's 25 past, I know Liam will be ready he's always early, I walk into the living room to see him sitting waiting for me, as soon as he sees me he's straight on his feet making his way out the door. I quickly follow him before he drives off without me. We sit in silence in the car listening to the radio, we're only driving for about 20 minutes, we're I'm in a world of my own for the full time I get out the car to see we've pulled up at the same restaurant when me and Ruby went on our first date that was a complete fail. I look over to Liam in anger that he brought me here. but then I remember there's no way he could know I put on a brave face and walked inside.

Ruby's pov-

I check the clock to see it's 6 pm, I have an hour and a half until I have to leave, I take a long hot shower, taking time to thoroughly wash through and condition my long dark hair. After getting out the shower I paint my nails and toenails a purple/burgundy colour adding a sparkly overcoat. Once my nails were dried I combed through my hair drying it in small sections with the hair dryer. After all my hair was completely dry, I took a hairband and pushed my hair away from I face and start on my make-up applying foundation, powder, a light blusher, mascara and purple/burgundy lipstick to match my nails. After taking my hair down I curl over the ends clipping the front back off my face. I slip into my new black dress, putting on silver hoop earrings and 3 rings. I slip my grey high knee socks along with my black shoes and put on my champagne coloured jacket. After grabbing my burgundy handbag I head out to my car.

Harry's pov- 

I walk into the restaurant my thoughts full of Ruby her hair, her eyes, her laugh, the way she blushes when she's embarrassed just Ruby in general everything think about her. Ruby. 

"Ruby?" I stutter out as I see her sitting near the back of the restaurant in the most perfect black dress and the lipstick I've always told her is my favourite. She looks so perfect sitting there I almost forget what she did, but soon enough the picture is back in my head, her lips on his and not mine. 

"What the fuck Liam? What is this some sort of set up?" I angrily whisper at Liam so only he can here, but making sure he's knows how angry I am. 

"Look, you've sat around all week doing nothing, it's obvious you both need to talk, Katy said Ruby has been the same, but I know you Harry, you're stubborn and you need to hear her out instead of ignoring her and believeing what that dickhead Zayn said, you shouldn't believe him over your Ruby!" He lectured me, I didn't take in much of what he said until 'your Ruby' that's I was enough for me to realise I have to hear her out, she's mine, not his mine, I probably sound like some possessive freak, but in this moment the only thing I want is Ruby back for her to be mine and only mine. I thanked Liam for setting this up even if he did lie to me, and walk over to the table Ruby's sat at.
