Chapter 5

Zayn's pov-

I always liked Jess and Niall when they came to pick Alexa up from our nursery and I thought it would only be right to pay my respects. As I walk in the church I see the most outstanding girl I've ever seen I know this is a funeral and I really shouldn’t be thinking like that, but taking one look at her any man would think the same. It was then I remember the news that Jess and Niall picked close friends to look after Alexa, Harry and Ruby I think I was told, I figured that was them seeing as they were with Alexa, I decided to go and introduce myself especially as I will be seeing more of them with Alexa coming to nursery everyday.

"Hey guys I just came to say hello." I said walking up to both of them receiving a weary look from both of them.

"And who are you?" Harry, I presume asked quite coldly.

"Harry!"  Ruby, I think scolds him. Yep I was right. "Sorry hi, what can we do for you?"

"Erm I just came to pay my respects to Niall and Jess. I'm Alexa's nursery teacher, Zayn Malik so I saw Niall and Jess quite a bit, they were so sweet."

"Why would you be a nursery teacher?” Harry snickered, I’m starting not to like this boy.

"Harry! Will you just stop! Sorry Zayn that’s really nice of you.” Ruby says flashing me her beautiful smile.

“No problem and I’ve been informed that you two are Alexa’s guardians so I thought I’d meet you guys.”

“Well theres plenty of time for ‘meetings’ in nursery Sir” Harry replies seeming very scarcasrtic. I’m not sure what I’ve done but he definitely doesn’t like me, I see Ruby shoot him a glare he deserves.

“That’s a ncie thought Zayn. Oh We’re going for dinner with everyone, would you like to join us?” Ruby asks me.

“NO ABSOLUTELY FUCKING NOT! WE DON’T EVEN KNOW THIS GUY!"  Well if Harry doesn’t want me there I will definitely be going, I smirk and Harry while he's talking to his other friend and turn back to Ruby.

“Yeah babe, I would like that.” I reply.

“Okay good, we’ll meet you there?” She asks me.

“Yeah.” I smile back at her. Harry looks pissed this is going to be a funny night, I quickly get in my car and drive to the address Ruby told me, I appear to arrive first, I've always been a skilled driver ,I get out and wait in the entrance. In the distance I see Ruby storming this way, she looks very angry and slightly upset. So she may need a shoulder to cry on, time to turn on the charm.

Ruby’s pov-

I storm away from Harry how dare he say I was trying to fuck Zayn, just because I wasn’t being rude to him, doesn’t mean I like him at all. I was actually starting to like Harry some more but no he goes back to being a rude prick once again, I hate that side to his personality.

“Whats wrong babe?” Zayn asked. Now that I have a chance to properly look at him he is completely beautiful, his tanned skin and big brown eyes, and perfectly styled quiff, I cant seem to look away, I catch his eye and suddenly remember he asked me a question, shit.

“Oh its just been an emtional day you know?” I finally reply. He nods his head understandly and wrapps his arm aroud my shoulder for support.

Harry’s pov-

I can see him getting straight in there, playing the ncie guy when she's obviously upset, acting as her shoulder to cry on, what a player. I continue to stare until I see his arm wrap around her shoulder, now this is going to far. I don’t know why I'm so bothered about Ruby getting attention from another guy its not like we’re together, I mean a few weeks ago I completely hated the girl. I know we needed each other to get through Niall and Jess’s death, but I cant help feel she’ll not need me for much longer and for some reason it makes me feel quite empty. I see Liam, Louis, Katie and Ellie coming towards me at least I have them to talk too. I’ve always been relatively close to Louis and Liam with them also being close to Niall not as close and me and him were though, Niall was like a brother to me, I've seen Katie a few times at small gatherings Jess used to hold and Ellie well that’s another story.

"You coming Harry?” Liam shouts from the door, I can still see Ruby flirting with Zayn.

“Yep!” I shout back, I just need to prove that Zayns a dick and I don’t see through it. I walk up to the doors and Louis asked for a table of seven, the waiter seats us straight away of course Zayn sits next to Ruby, before I even have a chance to sit there, Louis, Liam and Katie sit on the other side so I'm left sitting with Ellie, this is going to be awkward…

Ruby’s pov-

Zayn is such a nice boy, I don’t know why Harry had such a problem with him, when he doesn’t even know Zayn, he almost seemed jealous that  I was talking with Zayn, but me and Harry hate each other so why would he be jealous. I talk to Zayn throughout the full meal occasionally including the others Harry stayed silent for the full meal pretty much, it was quite emabarrassing how rude he was really. After we payed the bill and said our goodbyes Zayn asked fo my number, which I gladly gave him, I could definitely see us becoimng friends. Harry didn’t speak the full ride home and once we reached Jess and Niall's house which I suppose is ours now, he walked straight to the guest room he had picked out slammimg every door behind him that he could.
