Chapter 40

Harry's POV

Sun is the first thing I see when I slowly open my eyes, blinding me through the crack in the curtains. Once I finally wake myself up a little, I look down to see Ruby. Her grip on me is so tight I think she's about to cut off my blood circulation. Her arm is wrapped tight around my shirtless torso, her head resting on my chest with her leg wrapped around mine. She may as well be lying on top of me but I don't care one bit. I love being close too her and plus she's still a bit shook up after the incident.

It was just yesterday I suppose, but she is ridiculously jumpy but I really can't blame her. I feel someone move my curls out of my face and push them back which snaps me out of my trance. I smile down at her with my widest cheesiest grin to try and cheer her up. She giggles and I lean down and place a kiss on her forehead.

"Morning beautiful, how are you?" I ask

"Better I think" she smiles

She doesn't realise what her smiles do to me, her innocent little smile, she doesn't realise the effect it has on people; especially me.

"I'm glad baby, do you want to do anything today? I will probably be getting a phone call from work about erm... yeah the incident but I don't think I'll be called in today because they'll be questioning him" I try to smile at her to comfort her, but the subject is almost as touchy to me as it is to her, but I suppose I wasn't the one being stalked. She was.

"Yeah haz I think we should do something to get my mind off that creep"

"I know something we can do to take your mind off things" I wink and I run my hand up and down the inside of her thigh, she rolls her head back on to the pillow until we hear Alexa's muffled shouts.

I sigh "To be continued" I wink at her.

She rolls her eyes and drags herself out of bed, "Nice shorts babe" I wink when she turns to look at me.

She scoffs but I can see the smile she is trying fight that is going to break out upon her face, "C'mon" she waves her hand over to me to follow her. I jump out of bed right away and follow her close behind pinching her bum every now and again until we get to Alexa's room.

Alexa's standing in her crib waiting for us with her arms in the air for us to pick her up.

"Mama" Alexa says

Ruby stops dead in her tracks and spins around on her heels to face me. I have a big smile on my face and ruby is tearing up. I'm so happy for Ruby, Alexa always strings little sentences along but she's never called ruby or me dad, which we never expected; but it's like she knew Jess and Niall were going. But I could see ecstatically happy. She runs over to me and hugs me I hug her back chuckling.

"Daddy" Alexa shouts when she isn't getting any attention from Ruby.

"Oh my god" I whisper, I now understand why Ruby was tearing up. It is an overwhelming experience.

"That's amazing Harry!" Ruby shouts going over to Alexa picking her up and spinning her around. She's smothers Alexa in kisses and I walk over to them and kiss Alexa too. Alexa giggles and try's to push me away.

"I know what we can do today" ruby says while looking at Alexa's crib.

"And what's that" I ask

"I think it's time to get Alexa a bed, she's growing to big for that crib" she tells me.

I nod my head and agree with her "Yeah I was thinking that, let's go into town and have a look for some?" I ask

"Sounds good. Let's gets ready and we can just get something to eat in town"
