Chapter 11

Harry's POV

When I arrive at the station I get pulled into the office by Banks. "What the fuck"

"Hurry up and get your arse in the interview room, I've been waiting for you. You're late!"

"Yeah, well I had so shit to deal with" I mumbled

"What Styles" Banks cocked an eyebrow

"You fucking heard me" I shouted then I stormed through the interview door

"Hello Mr Renoylds" I smile at him and take a seat as Banks follows in.

He nods and sighs.

"So I'm just going to ask you a few questions about your daughters murder" I tell him, he nods again "Are you ever going to fucking answer me" I growl

He gulps "Yes, sorry"

I nod "Ok, so where were you on the night of your daughters murder?"

"Erm... at the local pub" He cautiously replies

"We have reason to believe you are an alcoholic is that correct?"

"Yes"

"And you also take drugs?"

"Hardly anymore"

"Why not anymore?"

"Erm since Zoeys mother died"

"Oh yes, we have recollection that you were put in prison for man slaughter of Zoeys mother? You beat her to death but since you were so out of it on drugs and alcohol you didn't get put down for murder" I replied viciously as I read his file.

"That was years ago, it wasn't like that" He sniffed

"Yes, but we could still use it" I smirked

"What do you mean" he shouted "You arn't saying I killed my own daughter, are you?"

"That's exactly what we're saying, why wouldn't you? You killed your own wife"

"I wasn't right then" He mumbled

"And you're telling me you've done anything to improve your alcohol in take or to get yourself off the drugs?" I cocked an eyebrow when he didn't reply I knew I had him " I didn't think so. You are still the selfish man that put everything in front of your family and now you haven't got anyone left" I hissed

"I know I was a shitty husband and a shitty father but I loved that girl more than anything" He pleaded

"Is that why you beat the shit out of her?"

"What?" He gasped

"Don't play dumb with me, you've been using her as a punch bag for years since you killed your wife and you turned to her, she's been to the police about it and got you done before but nothing to stop you staying away from her."

"I didn't m-mean t-to, I never meant to hit her, I just get so angry and worked up and take it out on the people I love" He stuttered.

"So one day did you just get so 'worked up' and take it out on your precious little daughter but didn't stop this time, got wound up and stabbed her?" I shouted as I slammed my hand against the old metal table.

"No, I didn't kill her, I swear" He spat back

I turned to Banks and told him we were done for today before walking to the door and turning to Mr Renoylds to say "We'll be seeing you real soon, Peter" I smirked before I walked out of the door and out of the police station.

Zayns POV

I slowly open my eyes and I'm immediately blinded by the blazing sunlight peaking through the windows. I stretch my arms before I hit something hard I turn to my left and remember that I'm not even in my own house. I slept at her house and fucked her to get some shit information out of her. Jesus, what is wrong with me.

As I am about to open her door to leave she speaks "Zaynnnnnn baby"

I roll my eyes at the crazy girl I look down at "What" I snap

She pouts and asks "Where you going, come back"

"No I'm going now, see you later"

"Urghhh ok, but remember what I told you and keep that shit to yourself, you got it?" She spits

"Yes, I've already told you, for fuck sakes" I then leave and slam the door behind me.

Harry's POV

My phone starts ringing, this fucking thing is endless. I scramble to find it.

"Hello" I reply sternly not looking at the caller ID.

"Harry" Ruby sobs into the phone

"What's wrong Ruby baby, are you ok"

"Where are you Harry" Her sobs getting louder

"I'm on my way home princess, whats wrong"

"I think someone broke into our house" she whispered I started driving frantically

"I'm not sure I don't think so" she sniffed

"I'll be five minutes, stay on the phone love"

"Ok, I'm sorry Harry"

"Don't be silly baby, shhhh"

When I arrive at our house I jumped straight out of the car when I noticed a big crack in the window which leads into the living room, I ran straight into the house and called Ruby's name repeatedly. When she heard my name she ran straight out of her bedroom with Alexa in her arms and wrapped her arms around me.

I spoke into her hair as she sobbed "Shhh baby, it's ok I'm here now" I soothed

"So are you going to tell me what happened, I'm sorry I have to ask" I sighed

She nodded "I was just going into the kitchen with Alexa to have dinner when I heard a big smash coming from the living room, I put Alexa in her high chair and ran into the living room. The window was all smashed by a brick and the brick was just lying on the floor with something wrapped around it, I looked around to see if I could see anyone but I couldn't so I went back into the kitchen to ring you but I kept seeing shaddows out of the conner of my eye I got so freaked out Harry and then i heard the front door slam. Thats when I rang you" She started sobbing again If I find out who done this I'm going to fucking kill them!

"Wheres the brick now" I asked, she just pointed to the floor near the window. I walked over to it and picked it up, there was a note wrapped around it.

p.s Ruby is very beautiful, I would watch that one

Fuck! I scrunched the note up and stuffed it into my back pocket

I took Ruby to the sofa and put Alexa in her play pen and snuggled up to Ruby on the sofa. Trying to get the note out of my head.

"I'm sorry Ruby, for everything. Please forgive me"

"Of course I do Harry, we just need to be more open with each other and you need to stop bottling things up" she mumbled

"I know we do Rub, I know" I kissed the top of her head.

She turned her head up to look at me, I leant down to place a lingering kiss on her lips when she deepened it and happily complied, smirking into the kiss, she giggled when we pulled away which was the cutest thing I've ever heard.

I'd do anything to protect my two girls I need to find who ever done this.
