Chapter 46

A/N I'm so sorry for the wait

Harry's POV

I look down on my beautiful girl. Blood seeping from her leg while I kneel next to her adding pressure onto the wound. 

"Ruby baby" I shout at her, shaking her shoulders to try and get some movement out of my beautiful broken girl.

"Pl-ease" My voice cracks and a tear rolls down my cheek "I love you"

I hear stomps up the old staircase, while I struggle to get my phone out of my back pocket to ring an ambulance, who the fuck could this be. I look around to see where Ellie is in case she's up set us both up. I completely zoned out of everything except saving my beautiful girl. She's curled up in the corner with her hands over her ears and her eyes squeezed shut and quietly repeating something over and over again.

I need something to stop all of the blood pouring out of her leg, I pull my bandanna out of my messy hair and place it round Ruby's leg and tie it tight onto the gun shot wound. I hold her hand with one hand and dig my phone out of my pocket until I hear a voice.

"What the fuck" A familiar voice shouts, I look up to see Liam and Katy standing before me. Thank god some fucking help and Katy's already got her ear to her phone.

"Oh my god Liam" I cry, letting my tears full on fall loose "Is she ringing an ambulance" I rush frantically to Liam pointing at Katy.

He nods his head and I sigh with relief, he runs to my side "What the fuck happened here Harry?" 

"I'll explain later, can't you see I'm a bit preoccupied" I shouted at him

"Harry I'm only trying to fucking help. Get her downstairs now" I nod and pick Ruby up bridal style while Katy's on the phone still talking to the police, telling them our location.

"They've already left" Katy says and I sigh with relief "They'll be about 15 minutes though" 

I run my free hand threw my hair "Ah FUCK!" I shouted

"I know mate, just get her outside. I'll watch out for Ellie" He tells me and I nod while me and Katy take Ruby out of this filthy fucking place.

"We should have came in earlier, we should have came in earlier" Katy mumbles over and over again.

I shake my head "No no no Katy, don't blame yourself. Its my fault. Everything's my fault" I sigh and look down at the beautiful girl in my arms.

"Harry" Katy looks up to me and places her hand on my shoulder "You'll get through this, you's both will"

I just smile at her thankfully and soon enough the ambulance is outside. 

"Is she breathing?" The paramedics ask calmly

"Yes but she loosing a lot of blood" I run my hand through my hair and walk up and down panicky "I need to come in the ambulance, I need to be with her" I rush at them they nod and I follow them.

"Katy" I shout and she turns her head "Will you be ok telling the police what happened just until I see if Ruby's ok? I can't leave her?" 

"Of course Harry go, we'll tell the police. Then me and Liam will drive back and meet you's at the hospital"

"Thank you" I smile sincerely

"Come on sir, we have to go" the paramedic ushers me in to the ambulance which I swiftly jump in.

"My Styles"  hear someones voice very faintly awaking me from my slumber. I jump up and look around to where I am and right by my side is my beautiful Ruby lying in the hospital bed.

I rub my eyes before replying "Hi, what time is it?"

The doctor smiles at me "5am in the morning Mr Styles"

"Call me Harry please, and how's Ruby doing? Please tell me she's doing ok"

I couldn't bear to loose another person never mind loose another person through death. I just really wouldn't be able to deal with it this time. I'd be a wreck with no one there to pick up the pieces like Ruby did for me and I did for her.

"Sorry, Harry. And yes Ruby is recovering much better than we expected with such a deep shot gun wound and since she lost a lot of blood. Which is very very pleasing." He smiles

I let out a breath that I didn't even know I was holding "Oh thank god, thank you thank you"

"I'm glad we could help her. As she's just came out of surgery we are going to keep her in hospital until she can make a full recovery and we can see the progress or the not so much she is making. Just to be on the safe side" He smiles

"Ok, I'll stay with her though, yeah? Is that ok?" I frantically ask

"Yes Harry. I'm sure we can make an exception for you to stay with her" I smile appreciably "She should be waking up soon from the anesthetic, so just be here when she wakes up. She'll be very confused"

"Ok I will doc. Thanks so much again" I say just before he nods and leaves.

I wake up to the sound of a familiar voice.

"Harry, Harry" I slowly open my eyes to find Liam and Katy standing in front of me, I rub my eyes and stand slowly and greet them both with a friendly hug.  

"Hey" I say sleepily 

They smile back "How's Ruby?" They both ask

"She's doing good" They both let out a sigh of relief "Better than expected, well much better than expected" 

"That's great man!" Liam beams 

"I know" I share the same smile briefly "Any news on... Ellie"

"They have her in police custody Harry, no doubtingly they'll be coming to speak to you later, they're questioning her now. We told them everything me and Liam saw" Katy speaks

"Okay... Thanks guys. It really means a lot" I smile

"No bother brother" Liam says while smacking me on the back which I tiredly play along too.

We all sit around Ruby's bed, waiting for her to wake up without any of us making a sound. Then soon enough we all watch Ruby stir until she lets out a frantic scream.

Oh my god guys. We're so so sorry for the wait, and the promise to update last weekend. We were just so busy. Especially preparing to go to Where We Are!! We went on Wednesday (the 28th) in Sunderland, Stadium of Light. All I can say was that it was so fucking amazing. It was absolutely perfect and the best night of my entire life. 

Soon the updates should start to get more regular. Once all our exams are out of the way. We've only got a few left. 

Also there is only a few chapters left in this story but we are thinking about writing another one. Comment if you would like us too.

And maybe can we at least have 10 votes for the next chapter. We arn't asking for too much because of the VERY long wait which again I apologise for.
