Ruby’s POV
I stand outside of Jess and Niall’s house with Alexa in my arms taking in the breathtaking building. I’ve been in and out of this house more times than I could even count but I never actually took in the beauty of the place. But now that it is mine I think I realize it. And Harry’s of course. Mr White informed us that Jess and Niall basically left everything to me and Harry to use to look after ourselves and our beautiful Alexa. Money, house and their cars. Of course their families got precious possessions of Jess’ and Niall's’ but they completely understood their decision to leave me and Harry to look after Alexa. Which I couldn’t be more pleased about. I love that little girl like she’s my own and I know Harry does too. Although me and Harry don’t get along too well, we’ve put our differences aside and he’s helped me through this so much and hopefully I’ve helped him too.
“Excuse me babe” Harry coos. I roll my eyes and look at him with a smile while he brings in mine and his boxes of clothes and things we need from our apartments to put into our “new” home. Yes, me and Harry will be living here.
Together. With Alexa. It could either go really badly or really great. Who knows? I shift out of the way to let him through the front door and follow him behind. I put Alexa down to play with her toys in her play pen and glide over to Harry. I hug him from behind until he spins around and hugs me properly. His hands laying just above my bum while I nuzzle my face into his toned chest.
“Harry?”
“Yes baby.”
“Thank you. For everything.” I whisper. He kisses the top of my head and tilts my chin up to look at him. I am mesmerized by his eyes while he stares deeply into mine.
“Your welcome, I couldn’t have done this without you either love” He smiles. I look at him and give him a cheesy grin.

1 week later
Harry's pov-
I hold Alexa in my arms while I hold hands with Ruby trying to comfort her of the day we have ahead. She wears a long black dress with a black blazer, she looks phenomenal. Her long black waves cascading down her back. While I wear a black suit with a white shirt and black tie. When we arrive at the grave yard I feel Ruby start to tremble but I just grip her hand tighter. We greet everyone and thank Niall’s family for organising the service. It really was beautiful. We hand Alexa over to Jess’ family that ask if they can look after her for the rest of the day and drop her back off tonight we of course accept. Me and Ruby stand in the front on the left hand side with Liam, Louis, Katy and Ellie. I wave to Alexa that stands across from us on the right hand side with the families she gives me a little giggle and I smile in content. Until the service starts. I feel Ruby hug into my side tighter and I pull her in closer. She starts sobbing into my side and Iet a tear or two drop. I still can’t believe I lost my best friend in the whole world. After the service Liam suggests that we all go and get a bite to eat to cheer ourselves us a bit.
“Yeah good idea Liam.” Katy mumbles. We thank everyone for coming and say our goodbyes and just before we go to get into our cars we are interrupted.
“Hey guys I just came to say hello” we turn around to see the mystery person. A boy about our age with olive hair a quiff and brown eyes stands before us.
“And who are you.” I say coldly
“Harry!” Ruby scolds. “Sorry hi, what can we do for you?”
“Erm I just came to pay my respects to Niall and Jess. I’m Alexa’s nursery teacher, Zayn Malik so I saw Jess and Niall quite a bit, they were so sweet”
“Why would you be a nursery teacher” I snickered
“Harry! Will you just stop! Sorry Zayn, that’s really nice of you” Ruby flashes her beautiful smile to HIM! I don’t like this boy. Who does he think he is!
No problem and I’ve been informed that you’s two” He points to be and Ruby “are Alexa’s guardians so I thought I’d meet you guys”
“Well theres plenty of time for “meetings” in nursery sir” I reply sarcastically “Now we need to go” Zayn looks taken a back. Yeah, get used to it. Ruby glares at me.
“That’s a nice thought Zayn. Oh we’re going for dinner with everyone” She points to all of our friends behind her “Would you like to join us?”
“NO ABSOLUTELY FUCKING NOT! WE DON’T EVEN KNOW THIS GUY”
“Calm down Harry mate” Louis chips in.
“Shut the fuck up” I mumble and roll my eyes. Zayn smirks at me and then looks at Ruby
“Yeah babe, I would like that” He has to be fucking joking me. I’m going to beat the shit out of this guy.
“Okay good, we’ll meet you there?” She asks Zayn
“Yeah” He smiles. She tells him the address and the name of the restaurant and we jump in our cars. Me and Ruby in one. Zayn in his and Louis, Liam, Katy and Ellie rode together.
“You know, you could be a bit more respectful. It’s your best friends fucking funeral and you’re already trying to fuck Alexa’s nursery teacher. Oh shit. Why the fuck did I say that. She looks over at me with teary eyes. I shake my head.
“I didn’t meant that, I’m sorry”
“I can’t believe you would even think that Harry” She murmurs and wipe the tears away that have formed in her eyes.
FUCK
“I’m sorry Ruby. I really am” She doesn’t even look at me. When we pull up into the car park she storms straight out of the car, slams her door and walks straight over to Zayn who’s the first here and waiting for us at the door. The dick. The last thing he’s doing is getting his hands on Ruby.
Over my dead body.
