Connor's POV
I look over at Autumn. Her eyes fluttered from time to time, so did a couple of yawns. I stroked her cheek with the pad of my thumb. "Are you getting tired babe?" I asked softly. She slowly shook her head, but I knew she was lying. I looked at the clock, and stared at it in disbelief. I got here around 5:40, or something, and it was already 9:30.
But I was also surprised that she was getting sleepy so early. I turned off Netflix and stood up. She peered at me. "Hey why'd you turn it off?" she slurred, her voice thick with sleep. I rolled my eyes and carried her bridal style. She didn't seem to mind since she was too drowsy. Her head rested on my shoulder while I carried her to her room.
I pushed the half open door with my hip and gaped at it. It wasn't really small compared to how this apartment made it seem. Her room was bigger than the kitchen I'll tell you that. Her bed, located in the corner, was a queen sized bed with cream colored sheets and white pillows. Her blankets were the fluffy kind, and it was grey.
Wow, some color contrast this bed has, I think.
I placed her gently on the bed, her eyes weren't closed yet. She gazed at me, her eyes glossy and full of sleep. She took my hand and drew circles on my palm with her finger. It felt funny, but refreshing.
"Why are you so sleepy already? It's so early", I chuckled. To me, 9:30 is pretty early compared to like...midnight.
She shrugged. I smiled. I got up from her bed and stared at the window. It took me a while to realize that it was raining. Hard.
Why is it raining? It's summer!
I grumbled to myself. Autumn twisted her body to look at me. "What's wrong?" she asked. I swear if you heard her voice right now, you would die because she sounds so cute when she's sleepy.
"It's raining outside....and it's causing traffic so I can't really go home", I observed from the window. It's pretty late and I really did need to go home...
I see Autumn frown. She twisted back around so she was laying completely on her back. "Just stay here then.."she mumbled, close to falling asleep. My eyes widened at the thought. "M-me stay over?" I stammered. I mean, I had no problem with staying over. But I was staying over at Emmi and Autumn's place...and I don't want to be rude. Plus I don't want Emmi thinking that Autumn and I are at thatstage.... to those who have that intricate of a mind, you know what I mean.
I realized that it's close to 10p.m and Emmi hasn't returned yet. Autumn tells me how Emmi usually comes back at 9. I was actually expecting her to barge in any minute. I heard a light snore from the bed, and I assumed Autumn finally passed out. I took out my phone and dialed Ricky. He picked up.
"Hey Ricky!"
"What's up man?"
"Are you with Emmi?"
"Yeah...why? Do you need her or something?"
I sighed with relief. "Oh okay. No I don't, because it's raining really hard outside and I kind of don't really want to drive back. Traffic in this weather really sucks."
"Oh alright! Well same goes with Emmi, she's back in the house with us and the guys. I guess she's staying the night here and you're staying the night there", Ricky hinted, being sly.
I heard whooping on the other end. I almost yelled shut up, but I remembered that I wasn't alone. I hears Ricky guffaw and Kian scream his high-pitched scream. I flinched and darted my eyes towards Autumn, making sure she didn't wake up. Thankfully, she didn't. I responded in a whisper.
