Little Do You Know - Alex & Sierra
*One Week Later*
Ricky's POV
"Have you heard anything from anyone? Anything will be helpful because we've been hitting dead ends for weeks!" I almost strangle my phone. I scribble down clues and notes to where Autumn and Connor have been. They could have run away together, who knows, but for three weeks? Connor wouldn't just leave without warning.
Even Autumn wouldn't just leave. She would have let me know, or Emmi. Speaking of Emmi, I haven't heard from her since the disappearance of our friends.
"Sorry man...we called everyone we know that could keep in contact with Con. We even called the police and they haven't found a single trace of them", my friend said, worry laced in his voice.
I let out an exasperated breath. "They couldn't have just jumped off a cliff and poof! disappear. This isn't normal, something happened to them and we're all worried!"
I don't know why I was worrying so much about them. Actually no, rephrase that, I know why I was worrying. Connor wouldn't do anything stupid, he's too smart. If he had to do something he would have let us know by now. Autumn wouldn't either, I know her well enough to say that she won't do something out of her mind. That's a good reason to panic, because they've literally stopped existing for way too long.
"Ricky, calm down. Connor probably went to Minnesota and introduce Autumn or something. Can't really blame him for staying there for a long time either."
If he went to Minnesota he would have told us, I thought bitterly. I sigh and say goodbye to my friend. I rub my temples, which I have been doing a lot lately. I stare at the boxes around me in the living room. I hear the clattering from Jc and Kian's rooms getting cleaned up.
We were moving out of the O2L house, and we can't really leave until Connor actually moves out with us with all his stuff.
He was going to have his own apartment to himself and Jc, Kian, and I were going to have a house to ourselves. Connor wanted to try something new, branch out and feel more independent than he already was. So he did the one thing to accomplish his goal of feeling independent and got an apartment. We were happy for him, we had no harsh feelings for what he wanted to do. He was happy about it too, but while he was talking about it his eyes weren't matching his voice.
~Flashback~
*four weeks ago*
"Yeah, I'm really excited to move into the apartment. It's nice and big, it's really cool", Connor said with a smile. Jc clapped him on the back while Kian and I were playing Mario Kart on the wii.
I stole a glance at Connor and noticed something that Jc and obviously not Kian, because he was too busy cussing me out like usual, didn't notice. His eyes that are usually bright green when he's around us were darker. His smile was there, but his eyes didn't match his actions.
What's up with him? I thought
"FUCK YES I'M WINNIIIIIIING BIIITCH", Kian screeches at the screen. I look at the screen and saw that I went from 2rd place to 6th. Kian made it to 1st and it was already that last lap. "Shoot", I say, trying to catch up. It didn't really work since Kian won and I came in 4th.
Jc went back to his room to continue packing, Kian kept playing the Wii by himself, and I played with Wishbone with a rope. I hear footsteps approach me from behind.
"'Hey Ricky", Connor says, plopping on the floor next to Wishbone and I. The dog trotted to Connor and wagged his tail happily. Connor scratched Wishbone behind the ears, smiling. I decided to ask.
