Short Story: Haku x Nya

Haku's POV

"Hikari. The target is coming your way." My partner reported to me through sound waves.

"Okay. I understand. Act like the dead boyfriend in order to get her." I sighed running my hand through my long white hair.

"This has to go right so capturing her will be easy."

"I understand."

"Good. Now hurry up and play dead." I scowled and got down in my "dead" position. I laid there on the ground trying to not inhale dirt when I heard voices coming my way.

"Nya! There's a body!" A female shouted.

The target.

"Is he still alive?" A boy asked.

"Just ignore the body and keep walking."

I saw a pair of feet walk past me and i grabbed an ankle

"It's alive!" an female screamed.

I then started to kick in the side by someone. "Get off Nya!"

Damn it! Stop it you retarded person!

"The dead is supposed to stay dead!" Nya shouted. She then kicked me in the head and I let go.

"Ow! Hey! Stop it! I'm not dead!" I  protested. I put my hands over my head and sat up. I was then finally able to get a good look at the group. There was a long brown hair girl who didn't look that bright with the way she tried to seem serious, a little boy who tried to act tough and my target, the blue haired girl. Nya.

"Then why were you lying on the road?" the boy asked.

Act innocent. Like Natsu.

"Because I... !" I started before I got caught off by a grumbling noise. My face heated up.

"Hungry?" Nya asked.

I nodded and she sighed.

"Lilly, give him your food. I know you took some." Nya ordered.

"So you knew." Lilly laughed.

She set her bag on the ground then unzipped it and pulled out a bag of pancakes. She handed it to the me and I greedily ate it.

"So, what's your name?" Nya asked.

"Hathku myrsnalmlax." I replied with my mouth full easily giving them my fake name.

She chuckled slightly at my response.

Weak.

I then see her quickly put on a stone face.

"What?" asked Lilly.

I swallowed. "Sorry. I'm Haku Crystalfylax."

I turned my attention to Nya. "Who are you?"

Just for the formalities of it. Like I don't know already.

"I'm Tsukasa Chikyu." the little boy replied jumping in front of Nya.

"I'm Lilly Goldheart." Lilly stood next to Nya.

She rolled her eyes at them. "I'm Nya Fury."

"So where are you guys going?" I oh so casually asked.

"To a dessert place nearby." Lilly replied.

I'm in.

"Cool! Let's go!" I stood up.

"You can't come!" Tsukasa protested.

Seriously. This kid.

Tsukasa grabbed Nya's hand and started to pull her away.

"But you can go in the same direction." she told me.

Almost too easy.

I grinned and follow after them. I had completed the first part of the job and now proceeded onto the next step. Get Nya to completely trust me. So I continued to follow them and became part of their little group. I continued to pester Nya and try to break down her walls until she told me all about her dead boyfriend she was hung up on. Kind of pathetic if you ask me, but she couldn't know. I listened and waited. Listened and waited. Listened and waited. I was starting to lose my patience. So I got some of my comrades to hide in an old mansion so once I had pushed Tsukasa a little too far he would go there. I once again showed how loyal I was to them and got Nya to "date" me.

But then she came up the ridiculous idea of a guild. That wasn't part of the plan; we were getting off plan. I had to hurry things up, but they said not to. Doing that will make me suspicious so I waited. I waited for a day, a week, a month until I was told to move forward with the plan.

They should never have let me wait. I didn't want to go through with the plan anymore. I had spent too much time by her side and without a voice in my head. I had become my own person. I needed to end things so I would go through with the plan but with an slight twist.

"Nya. Let's go out tonight."

"Ha-" She started then paused when she read the paper I slide to her.

"Someone is listening. Go with it." it read.

She nodded. "Okay. Where?"

"It's an surprise." I winked and slide another paper saying, "In the woods. Get rid of these."

"Wow. I can't wait." Nya folded her arms and rolled her eyes.

"Then see you at 9." I then walked away to prepare for the plan.

When 9 came around I picked her up and wrapped a blind over her eyes. "This is necessary." I whispered.

She gave an slight nod and I lead her to our destination where those gloves I bought so long ago. The whole way I subtly glanced around trying to figure the position of my ex-comrades. I spotted a few, but not all. I was tensed by the time we reached the spot and took off Nya's blindfold. She looked at the sign slightly impressed. I had set a dinning table romantically in a clearing with food prepared.

"Right this my my lady." I gestured.

That last bit earned me a glare, but she went to sit down in her seat anyway. As I walked past her I tapped her napkin and sat down in my seat. Nya opened the open, read it, and spread it upside down on her lap. She picked up her fork and began to eat the food before suddenly falling asleep on the table. The people surrounding us then came out with weapons and things to tie her up with. They patted me on the back and began to approach Nya. I then suddenly ripped the table cloth up and threw it at them.

"Now Nya!" She sprang up and started to attack them. They had little time to get over their bewilderment. It was two against twenty, but was easy with Nya on my side. We quickly knocked them up and tied them up with their own equipment.

Nya sighed annoyed as I tied the last set of people up. "So are you going to tell me what this is all about?"

"Not really."

"Okay. It would probably be a pain, but this shouldn't happen again." she glared challengly at me and I nodded.

Nya then turned around and walked back to town beckoning to me. I jogged to catch up with her, but who knew she would leave me behind one day despite what I did for her. Despite what I felt for her. Because I was just an copy of him and why have a copy when you can have the real thing?
