Chapter 22: Far Away

Nya: It will be just plain annoying.

Dogwonder: Hater!

Nya: Shut it!

Dogwonder: Fine. I will continue to make you suffer in my book then! Wa ha ha ha!

I arrived back at our hotel and went up the stairs to see how Kaiya was doing. I opened the door to the room and saw Kaiya still doing a handstand. The wound on her side had reopened and blood was soaking the bandages. Lilly was looking at Kaiya grimly and with sympathy. Haku was calm as he observed the scene, but probably not underneath.

"You can stop Kaiya."

As soon as I said those words Kaiya fell onto her side panting heavily and Lilly quickly went to her side to apply new bandages.

Haku turned to face me. "So how was it?"

"It was fine."

Haku looked at me suspiciously.

"Honestly. Now go sleep. I don't want you performing badly, because of me."

Haku nodded and walked towards the door. Along the way he grabbed me by the waist and kissed me quickly on the cheek then left.

"That idiot." I muttered.

I then focused my attention Kaiya. "She won't be able to participate tomorrow. Let's hope the static electricity has calmed down on Nova."

"Show a little more compassion Nya." Lilly said.

"Like I should show compassion towards a drunk who brought it on herself."

"I-is that a-all I'm worth?" Kaiya panted.

"You're worth more when you don't drink. You're less then an animal when you become like that." I sneered.

Kaiya glared and I slung her over my shoulder.

"What are you doing?!" Kaiya protested.

"You can't exactly walk right now, so I'm carrying you to bed."

I left the room and brought her to her own. I put her down on the bed then left. On the way back to my room I ran into my exceed Juliet.

"Haven't seen you in a while." I said.

"Yes. It has been some time." Juliet agreed.

"Still don't want to go watch the games?"

"And watch girls act like men by fighting? Of course not! The games shouldn't exist in the first place!" Juliet ranted.

"Okay. Good night."

I went the opposite way of her and went to my room where Lilly was waiting.

"Give me the details." She demanded.

"What details?"

"Of the bet! How did the meeting go? Did Natsu declare his love?"

I glared at her shutting her up. "You really enjoy this don't you?"

"Trying to fill the void in my heart from my non existent love life." Lilly sighed.

"Just tell Eve you like him and go out with him. It's annoying."

"He may reject me though."

"You're a girl. He won't."

"We're not talking about me though! How did he go?!"

"Well, Natsu left so I just talked with Lucy and Wendy."

"That's it?" Lilly asked disappointed.

"Yeah, so now shut up."

Lilly pouted and I changed into my pajamas then climbed into bed.

Yeah. That's all. Nothing special happened. At all.

Before I knew it the next day had appeared. So after getting everyone ready we went to the stadium. The third day's competition was pandemonium. Participants from each guild and Phoenix Feather sent out Tsukasa. However, no one else could compete in it for Erza Scarlet had defeated all one hundred monsters. The entire stadium was filled with disbelief. From watching Erza fight emotions had bubbled up within me and I couldn't identify what they were.

What is it? Pride? Anger?

I didn't bother to search farther into the matter. Then, a replacement event was made for those who hadn't competed in the pandemonium. When it was Tsukasa's turn he got 586 on the MPF. Which earned him 5th place in the final score of the event. However, we experienced another miracle from Fairy Tail. Cana had out maxed the MPF; once again showing how powerful they were.

And how far away they were.
