Hermione opened her eyes as light streamed in through a gap in her bed hangings. What day is it? Saturday, oh good. Then she remembered, the Quidditch match today. Hermione wasn't looking forward to the match for one simple reason: she would have to put up with Ron on her own.

She forced herself out of bed and got changed. Dragging her feet down to the common room, she pulled a brush through her frizzy hair but quickly gave up.

Putting the brush in her pocket, she sat down on one of the comfortable chairs by the fire. She sighed and sank lower into the chair. Then suddenly, Fred and George jumped out from behind the sofa and sat on either side of Hermione.

"Ahh!"

"Mornin'." They said in unison.

She glared at them.

"Come on Hermione! Quidditch today!"

Hermione just sighed again.

At that moment, Ron came down the boys staircase. He came stomping towards them. He looked like he wanted to say something but wouldn't in front of his brothers.

"Ahh! Ickle Ronniekins!" Exclaimed George.

Ron looked furious.

"What's up lil bro?" Asked Fred.

"Where's Harry?"

"Dunno."

"He would be getting an early breakfast wouldn't he?"

"Mmh." Ron scowled. As if hit by a sudden thought, he looked at Hermione, who was determinedly staring at the fire.

He turned on his heal, and strode off out of the portrait hole. Almost instantly, Lavender Brown emerged from the girls dormitories and followed him.

Pavarti Patil then ran out after her, a little way behind. As the portrait hole opened again they could hear the fat lady: "Any more or can I now sit down in peace?!"

Hermione shifted uncomfortably in her seat.

"We should get some breakfast before the game." Said George, nodding towards Fred.

"Right you are, I'm starving!"

The two of them got up and started walking off. When they saw that Hermione wasn't following, they turned back around and stepped towards her.

"Come on!"

"You need food!"

"You don't know what I need." She snapped.

"Only one thing for it then."

"You leave us with no choice."

They stepped either side of her, put one of her arms each round their necks and lifted her up by her legs. It looked like she was sitting on a throne.

"Wha- ahh!!"

Ignoring her squealing, they paraded off through the portrait hole and out into the corridor beyond.

"I asked if there was any more!" They heard the fat lady exclaim behind them. "Honestly!"

As they started down the many staircases, Hermione stopped squirming and tightened her hold around their necks.

They passed Pavarti, who was hiding behind a statue rather suspiciously.

As they passed Lavender, Hermione sat up straighter and acted as though she was actually sitting on a Royal throne. Lavender stared open-mouthed.

When they reached the entrance hall, they passed Ron, who stared at them scowling.

The twins only let her down when they had reached the Gryffindor table and they lowered her down on the bench next to Harry.

Most of the school were staring at them. Hermione turned slightly pink but started filling her plate with food all the same. She could hear the twins explain to Lee, and half the table, about what they were doing.

"She wouldn't come down to breakfast."

"Why?" She heard a nosy boy from the year below ask them.

"She wanted to finish her book."

Hermione breathed a sigh of relief. She inwardly thanked Fred for his quick thinking and for not telling everyone what had actually happened. Then again, she told herself, how would they explain it when even she couldn't?

Ron came into the hall and sat himself on the other side of Harry. Almost instantly, Lavender came into the hall. Clearly dissapointed that Ron hadn't sat on his own, she slumped off towards the other end of the table. Pavarti came in next, and followed Lavender. They started talking in quick whispers, occasionally turning to look at Ron.

"Good luck in the match mate." Said Ron to Harry.

Harry just nodded.

"Yeah, good luck Harry." Said Hermione.

"Are you both coming to watch?" He asked.

"Yes of course!" They exclaimed in unison.

"Why wouldn't we?" Asked Hermione, although she already knew the answer.

"Because you two keep arguing."

"No we won't because I'm watching the match with Seamus and Dean."

Hermione's heart stopped. He hadn't even bothered to ask her about it first.

I didn't want the chapter to get too long so I decided to leave it there.
