It was hard to tell who was most fed up with the situation: Harry or Hermione.
Harry was fed up of Ron and Hermione fighting and Hermione was fed up with Ron having a girlfriend that wasn't her."He can date whoever he jolly well wants to!" Snapped Hermione when Harry only asked where he was.
Fred and George had spent a lot of time with Lee, in whispered conversations which normally ended up in Lee walking off.
"We will just have to go ahed with the plan." Said Fred or George during morning break.
"What plan?" Asked Hermione, suspiciously.
"Plan? What plan? Did I say anything about a plan Fred?" Asked George, looking too innocent to be truthful.
"Why did Lee storm off?" She demanded.
"Storm off?" Asked a voice from behind her. She turned around and was face to face with Lee. "I didn't storm off Hermione! Although, thank you for caring so much." He winked at her. The twins beamed at him from behind her back.
Hermione scowled and walked off. Behind her she swore she heard someone giving a high-five.
Ron and Lavender could once again be found snogging at every available moment, which often attracted large crowds in corridors and for angry teachers to come and see what the noise is all about.
Whenever Hermione saw them at it, she would walk in the opposite direction.
Although they had only been dating for 2 days, it was like they had been together for months.
It was Lunch time now, and Hermione was walking down the corridor with Harry when Ron came bounding up to them.
"Home- work- trans- fig-" he gasped.
"What?" Harry asked.
"Herm- oh- nee." He gasped.
Hermione, who had carried on walking, suddenly stopped. She turned around slowly to face him, one eyebrow raised.
"Please?" He asked, holding out a piece of parchment for her.
Pause. Then, "No!" She snapped. "Why don't you get your girlfriend to do it? She was the one after all, who stopped you from doing it in the first place, was she not?"
Ron stared at her, open-mouthed.
"Fine!" He shouted as her as she started to walk away. "FINE!"Harry shrugged and ran after her.
"How dare he? How can he still think that after days of not speaking- not a word- that he can ask me for help?!"
Harry almost wished he had stayed with Ron when help came.
"Don't worry Hermione."
"Let it all out."
"Don't want to bottle it all up now would you?"
She turned around and faced the twins and Lee. She glared at them.
"Well, it worked on Harry." Said George, faltering under Hermione's glare.
"Coming Harry?" She asked behind her shoulder.
"No, it's alright, I'm just going to stay here!" Shouted Harry to her as she disappeared round the corner.
"It has only been two days mate." Said George.
"I know," replied Harry. "But we have all had enough."
"Does Ron know?"
"Know what?"
"That Hermione likes him." Said Fred.
"Of course not!" Said George. "He wouldn't realise if a banner slapped him in the face with the words Hermione likes you written across it."
The twins both looked at each other.
"No!" Shouted Harry, fully aware at what they were thinking.
"Any other ideas then?"
"No."
"That is why they call you the boy who lived and us, er-"
"Pra-" started Lee.
"Don't say it!"
"I was gonna say Pranksters but never mind." Shrugged Lee.
"Well, I should go." Said Harry, slightly awkwardly at the thought of how badly Hermione would be in a mood.
The day went surprisingly fast, although Hermione was now ignoring both Harry and Ron.
Harry awoke the next morning to loud, fake snores coming from Ron's bed.
"Ron." Harry hissed.
The snores got louder.
"Ron!" Harry shouted.
Ron sat up in bed and pulled back the hangings, pretending to have just woken up, but with his eyes wide open.
"What?" He asked, fake yawning.
"Why were you pretending to be asleep?" Harry replied.
"Pretending?" He replied, trying to look confused but just managing to make his eyebrow twitch.
"Ron, no one can snore that loud." Pointed out Harry.
Ron's ears went red. "I just- I don't- I'm not going going down to breakfast."
"But- but Ron you never miss breakfast!" Exclaimed Harry, jumping out of bed.
"I know." Said Ron.
Harry knew there was something seriously wrong. He started to get changed.
"Harry?"
"Mmm?" Replied Harry, rummaging around in his trunk.
Ron hesitated "Why does Hermione have a problem with me?"
Harry stopped with his sock halfway on his foot and turned to face the redhead, who was now pointedly staring at a speck of mud on the carpet.
"I don't know." Replied Harry, only half truthfully. "Why don't you ask her?"
"She doesn't talk to me!" Cried Ron, finally looking at Harry.
"I don't know mate." Said Harry, pulling on his trousers and wanting the conversation to end.
