Thursday- part 3
Pavarti stumbled through the door to the charms classroom halfway through Professor Flitwick's speech on the days lesson. She mumbled her apologies before quickly finding her seat next to Lavender and sitting down, stuffing her bag under the desk.
As Professor Flitwick turned around to write on the board with his wand, Lavender nudged Pavarti and whispered across to her.
"So... how's Lee?" She asked, grinning cheekily as Pavarti's cheeks went slightly pink.
"He's good." She replied, not daring to look over at the smug look on her best friend's face.
Normally she would tease Lavender about Ron but under the current circumstances she decided to let the conversation end.
Now that she had spoken to Lee, she felt free concentrate on the lesson. The same, however, could not be said for Lavender who was so zoned out on the Professor's explanation of the spell they were going to be practicing that she didn't realise they were supposed to be taking notes. Pavarti used a spell to duplicate the notes she had taken and slid them over to Lavender, who smiled gratefully at her best friend.
"What were you so deep in thought about?" Pavarti questioned as the class filled out of the classroom.
Lavender stared after her red-haired boyfriend as he walked out of the classroom, his back to her. Her eyes watered as she turned her gaze to her best friend.
Pavarti rushed forward and wrapped her arms around her Lavender as she broke down.

Lee and the twins were sat in a secluded area of the castle, Lee telling the twins about Pavarti's worries and the conversation they had had.
Fred sighed dramatically once Lee was finished. "I guess this means we have to do more writing?"
Lee rolled his eyes. "Actually, I'm the one who does all the writing. You two just sit there."
"How exhausting." Said George, fake yawning.
"Come on," said Lee, getting up. "Unless you wanna be late for McGonagall after break we'd better get going."
The three of them made their way back to Gryffindor tower. As they were nearing the portrait hole, they heard voices coming from the other end of the corridor.
Lee instantly recognised Pavarti's voice and he pulled the twins into a broom cupboard. He knew that she'd be with Lavender.
"I know- but I don't want to!" Wailed Lavender.
"Hey, it'll be fine. But you can't carry on like this." Soothed Pavarti.
The portrait hole closed and Lee burst out of the broom cupboard, the twins following.
"Lavender is planning to do something she doesn't want to do." Said George.
"Maybe she's planning a trip to Moaning Myrtle's bathroom." Said Fred, shuddering.
Lee rolled his eyes and shook his head, leading the way into the Common Room.
As soon as they got to their dormitory they got to work.

Meanwhile, Hermione was in the library, doing some light reading and trying to take her mind of a certain red-head.
She sighed, not being able to concentrate on her book. Letting her mind wander, she decided it was time to develop her own plan. Again.
Mission: find a date to the party.
Hermione closed her book with a snap and placed it back onto the shelf. She told herself that this was a way for her to get over Ron but deep down it was to make him jealous.
She decided that it would be better to wait until their next lesson together to speak to him. Potions.
————
"I expect you to have finished steps 1 to 7 of this potion by the end of the lesson so that it can be left overnight." Drawled Snape, glaring at the class. "You may begin."
The class seemed to come to life as everyone got up and started sorting out the equipment they would need.
"Harry." Hermione whispered across at her best friend. The class was already filled with noise but she didn't want to take any chances of anyone overhearing.
Harry looked up from the beetles he was crushing at Hermione. "Hermione?" He replied, encouraging her to speak.
Hermione hesitated for a second, trying to decide how it was best to phrase what she wanted. Eventually she decided that it was best to just spit it out.
Harry's eyebrows were raised as he watched the concentration on Hermione's face, his amusement causing the corners of his mouth to pull upwards.
"I was wondering if I could come and sit in the stands during your next Quiddich practice." Said Hermione, going slightly pink but refusing to break eye contact with her now extremely shocked friend.
Harry was speechless. In all their years of being friends, and the hundreds of conversations Harry had had about Quiddich in her presence, Hermione had never once shown the slightest bit of interest.
"I- erm- what?" Harry attempted to reply.
Hermione looked back down at her beetles, more red than pink now.
"Don't make me repeat it." She pleaded under her breath.
"Of course you can." Said Harry, too shocked to put any enthusiasm into his voice. "The next one is tonight if you want to come along."
Hermione just nodded in reply, swallowing nervously.
Tonight is when her plan would be put into action.
