I am pleased to present to you the main character sketch for my debut tale, "Reason Behind My Existence."

As the narrative further unfolds, I will introduce additional supporting characters, enriching the tapestry of the tale.

Disclaimer: This narrative is a work of fiction, born entirely from my creativity and thoughts. Though it may draw inspiration from reality, the plot is essentially made up. The tale depicts fictional events, characters, and companies. Any resemblance to actual men and women, living or lifeless, or actual corporations is solely coincidental.

P.S. Please be advised to avoid claiming my concepts or original work. I am earnest in stating that it could have adverse consequences.

Thank you.

.....................

Nandini Murthy, a young woman of 21, with a captivating balance of intellect and sweetness and an innocence that endears her to those she meets, was born into a family of cultures in Kolkata. She is the offspring of Mr. Mahendra Murthy and Mrs. Mohini Mallick Murthy; her lineage is a pleasant fusion of Tamil and Bengali heritage.

Having recently completed her college education, Nandini has ambitions to embark on a career in medicine, a path that promises to channel her intellectual ability toward healing and compassion.

Her upbringing, however, was far from ordinary. Nandini was nurtured in an environment that was both disciplined and strict, a demonstration of her parents' honor and values. Despite the harshness of her upbringing, Nandini has developed a profound respect for her elders, a respect that exceeds mere obedience.

Her behavior is marked by a certain reserve, a quietness that opposes the depth of her thoughts and emotions. Yet, within the sacredness of her closest relationships, Nandini reveals a different side of her personality. It is with her best friend, Navya, that she shares her innermost thoughts and dreams, a bond that surpasses the boundaries of friendship to become something akin to a soulful sisterhood.

Professor Mahendra Murthy, a distinguished man in his late forties, bears a South Indian surname but holds a deep Bengali soul, rooted in Kolkata, where his family has thrived for generations, deeply entwined in the city's cultural essence.

Known for his unwavering pride and sense of honor, Mahendra adheres strictly to his personal code of conduct, expecting nothing less than meticulous obedience from his children, a standard they dutifully uphold. His stature in society is marked by a keen awareness of his reputation and a profound sensitivity to societal norms, often reflecting concerns about "log kya kahenge," "samajh kya kahega," and other similar phrases.

As the Head of the Murthy family, he stands as the devoted husband of Mrs. Mohini Mallick Murthy and the nurturing father of Nandini. Professionally, he commands respect as the Chancellor and Senior Professor at a prestigious university in Kolkata, his influence resonating deeply within academic circles and beyond, representative of his esteemed stature in society.

Professor Mohini Mallick Murthy, an eminent Bengali woman in her mid-forties, commands courtesy with her formidable presence and strong-willed attitude. Alongside her role as a devoted mother to Nandini and an esteemed partner to Mahendra Murthy, she holds the prestigious position of Vice Chancellor and Senior Professor at the same university as Mahendra.

Deeply rooted in family values, Mohini maintains their esteemed legacy with unwavering dedication, ready to take any bold step to uphold their reputation. Beneath her seemingly generous exterior lies a formidable persona, capable of asserting authority with a blend of intimidation, dominance, and strategic manipulation when circumstances demand it.
