Jo's pov
Whatever he's looking for, he really wants to find it. He has his phone in one hand and mine in the other, his eyes darting between the two. Is he looking for that number in his phone?
After a couple of minutes of that, my phone buzzes and Harry's eyes shooting to the top of my screen. His eyebrows furrow, I tilt my head to the side at him, he meets my gaze and looks back down. He types something and i let him, its nothing new for us to answer each others texts.
"Who was it?" I sip my coffee again, its so good.
"Gimme one sec" Harry said while putting down his phone and typing on mine pretty fast.
He hands me my phone back. It's opened on the conversation with the person who's obsessed with Harry.
?: I told you to stay away
I look up at him obviously upset. So now their watching me? I look around the coffee shop, just a bunch of adults, no one else under the age of 30. I look at him again but this time, my phone buzzes.
?: Oh really? Let's see how long that lasts.
I look up at Harry, confusion written all over my face. It's his turn to tilt his head
"What?" He says reaching for my phone. He reads the text and hands me my phone back."Did you text them back? Cause that text makes zero sense" I turn off my phone and stick it in my bag, I'm not dealing with them right now, I'm supposed to be having a nice conversation with Harry over coffee.
"I did. Can I see your phone again?" He says holding his hand out.
"What did you say? The text from you isn't there." I dig through my bag to find my phone
"Nothing important" I hand him my phone and it opens with his fingerprint
"Then why'd you delete it?" I lean back in my chair and start playing with my hair, someone playing with my hair has always calmed me down.
"You'll find out soon enough Jo" he returns to looking through his phone and periodically looking at mine. What does he mean I'll find out soon enough? And what did they mean when they said let's see how long thats lasts? I'm so lost.
Harry's pov
I'm scrolling through my contacts list on my phone, while the conversation between Jo and whoever texted her telling her to stay away is open on her phone. I click on yet another name when hers buzzes in my hand.
?: I told you to stay away.
Me: It's Harry. Stop texting Jo.
?: Why should I?
Me: Cause nothing's going to ruin my friendship with her.
?: And how can you be so sure?I know the answer as soon as I read the question
Me: Because I love her.
"Who is it?" Jo speaks up and sips her coffee.
"Gimme one sec." I delete the messages, I can't let her know like this.
I hand her back her phone and looks up at me and she's visibly upset. It breaks my heart to see her like this, I just wish this would all end. Her phone buzzes and she looks at me confused.
