*two years later*
Jo's povI walk down the cold London street heading towards our favourite coffee spot, my hand being warmed by his big one.
We walk into Grinder's and smell the comforting scent of coffee.
"Hey! It's Jo and Hayden!" Our favorite barista Rachel calls from behind the counter, instantly perking up.
"Hey Rachel!" We both wave with our hands that weren't laced together.
"Want your usuals?" I happily nodded and she got started right away. We choose our table by the window.
As we waited for Rachel and our drinks, I scrolled through the influx emails that have accumulated over time.
Out of all of them though, one sticks out.
'Truman high school class of 2012 five-year reunion!'
(A/N let's pretend that the bands still together in 2017, for the sake of the book. I wish it was real)
I clicked on the email, quickly reading over the invite.
It's back at the school, in exactly a week from today.
Oh my god! I'll get to see Tilly, Layla and all my high school best friends again! Wait a second...
Will Harry be there? My stomach drops and my heart starts pounding, my palms getting clammy.
Does he remember me? Does he still love me? No. No way.
"You ok babe?" Hayden grabs my hand from across the table.
"Y-yea. I just got an invite to a high school reunion. I'm just a little nervous is all." I rub my thumb against the back of his hand.
"Cool, when is it?"
"In one week. Exactly, actually." I chuckle a little, receiving one back.
"Are we going to go? I think it'll be fun, I'd get to meet your high school friends, hear some embarrassing stories maybe?" He wiggles his eyebrows at me.
"Oh my god" I softly hit my forehead with my palm.
"It does seem like fun though, I haven't seen them all in ages." I click the button that tells them that I'll be there with a plus one.
"Ok, it's set. Next weekend, we're going to my reunion." I nervously breathe out the sentence quietly.
Less than a second later, Rachel comes and sits with us, with our drinks in hand.

*a week later*I swipe the dark red lipstick across my lips, finishing my look.
"Damn baby, you look good" Hayden wraps his arms around my waist and kisses from my neck all the way up to my lips
"Mmmm thanks babe. You don't look so bad yourself" I back up and look him up and down
"You ready to go?" I nod as I grab my purse and we head out of the door, hand in hand.
*at the reunion*
We sit at a table with all of my friends from high school, obviously excluding Harry.
Mitchell, Layla, Tilly, Miles, and the rest of the gang surround us as we talk about what's happened these last five years.
Layla was going on about how after graduation, she went backpacking through Europe and some of Asia when, I saw Harry walk through the door with a girl on his arm.
My stomach drops to the bottom of my stomach and I instantly feel sick.
He sees me and makes eye contact. My hand instinctively grabbing Hayden's hand that lays on the table and I rip my eyes off of him and the blonde beside him.
"You ok babe?" Hayden brings his face to mine and kisses my cheek.
"Yea I'm fine. Just overwhelmed. I need to go get some air." I kiss his cheek back and get up.
"Where you going girl?" Layla interrupts her story to ask.
"I'm just stepping outside for a second, I need some air." I pull my dress down my leg, feeling really self conscious.
"Need me to go with you?" She can tell I'm not doing too well.
"I'll be fine, thanks for offering though. I'll be back" I wave to the table and they continue their conversation, including Hayden.
I step outside and am blinded by flashes of cameras. It all stopping once they realize I'm not Harry or who he came with.
I make my way to the back of the building, feeling every emotion I felt for Harry coming right back up again.
My eyes threaten to spill tears when I relive our relationship, from the day we met, to the last time I saw him.
I rest my hand over my stomach, trying to calm myself down. I knew seeing him would be hard, but I didn't know it'd be this hard.
I thought I was over him, it took nine months until I was finally ready to give Hayden a chance.
I was fine, until I saw those god damned green eyes. His longer curly hair that looks so fucking good on him. The way his suit hugged his body in all the right places.
Oh the things he could do. He's making me weak and all we did was exchange one look.
The words that I said before we said goodbye replay in my brain.
"This is not goodbye, this is our see you later. We might be breaking up, but if it was meant to be, you will come back. I have a feeling that you will be coming back to me my love."I remember everything from that day down to the socks Harry was wearing.
I manage to slow my breathing and rid my eyes of my tears by thinking of how happy I've been with Hayden. We've been together for a year and a half-ish. I'm pretty sure he was my rebound from Harry though.
Even if he was 'just my rebound', I've come to love him, he's an amazing guy.
As I'm busy trying to distract myself from Harry and my thoughts about Harry, my thoughts are cut short by a voice that is all too familiar.
"Jo." I don't turn around, I hold my breath and I pray that I'm only hearing things.
"I guess it was meant to be. I've come back to you. You were right."
And with those words, I fell in love all over again.
