Geoff

They survived the night just barely, Gavin seemed a little more stressed and his target skills were sloppy. That could be due to the fact that he'd just killed his friends, Geoff completely understood. Karane wasn't doing to well either.  He and Jack had ended up babysitting the two from mobs all night.

"Who's hungry?" Jack tried to smile for the two. Gavin didn't even look up when Jack spoke, Karane smiled.

"thank you Jack" She accepted a plate of steak, Jack offered a plate to Gavin.

"Not hungry" He mumbled, to Geoff it seemed Gavin hadn't eaten for a long time. He didn't argue though. If the British man didn't want to eat there was no forcing him.

Geoff knew this from the  time he'd spent in the same house with the man. Halfway through lunch Gavin simply left.

"I'll go check on him" Geoff sighed and stood fallowing the man. He found Gavin sitting on a stump sobbing. Gavin's hands covering his face, elbows perched on his knees and head hung. Geoff sat next to him and put an arm around his shoulders.

"Shhh, everything's gonna be okay"

"No its not!" Gavin's accent was thick through the tears. "I killed him Geoff, He's dead and never coming back!" Geoff pulled him even closer, stroking his hair. He wasn't sure what to say to Gavin, the man was like a son to him. They's practically adopted him.

"Michael loved you to death, he wouldn't want you to be sad because hes gone" Geoff hugged him. Gavin hugged back and whipped his eyes.

"suppose not" Gavin hiccuped.

"Come on"  Geoff pulled the man up and they began to walk back.

"Thank you, Geoff" Gavin whispered before heading back to their friends. He smiled, glad to help his foster son out.

Gavin took the food this time and began to eat it as if he had never seen a steak before. Geoff was glad to see it though, maybe the man was healing.

"Time to get moving" He stood, Karane picked herself up and helped Gavin to his feet. Geoff smiled, Gavin returned it.

Good new, Gavin might be okay.

They began to walk, Gavin's footsteps still faltered and Geoff could see the hurt in his stride. Loneliness reflected in his eyes.

Geoff sighed, maybe this would be a lot harder than he thought.
