"Trigger please tell me what happened? W-what have they done to you?" Humihikbing tanong ni Thalia kay Trigger habang ibinababa siya nito sa gitna ng kama.
He sat beside her and collected her in his arms before he kissed the top of her head. "Baby, it's all done. Wag na natin pag-usapan--"
"I wanna know, Trigger please?" She kissed his jaw repeatedly before she hugged him tightly.
Binalingan siya nito, his eyes captured her. He sighed in resignation when he saw how determined she is to know what happened.
"Your grandfather caught me sneaking out of your room that morning..." He inhaled an air as he begins the story. "He talked to me, he made the deal..."
"Did you touched my grandaughter?" Brandon De Salvo asked in a surprisingly calm yet dangerous tone of voice.
Trigger didn't know what answer to give so he muttered... "No, sir..."
"And I know a lie, when I hear one..." He saw him smirked. "Matanda na ako, Romanov. Napagdaanan ko na iyan. Kids nowadays do sex for fun--"
"Mahal ko po si Thalia." Mariin niyang putol sa sinasabi nito.
"Sa ngayon, maaaring oo." The old man shrugged. "But who knows what's about to happen next."
Natahimik siya. Alam niya sa sarili niya na hindi man siya sigurado sa kung anuman ang mangyayari sa susunod, alam niya na mahal niya si Thalia at hindi iyon basta bastang mababago ng panahon.

Hindi siya nag-salita dahil ayaw niyang putulin ang pagsasalaysay ni Trigger ng detalye tungkol sa kung ano talaga ang nangyari anim na taon ang nakalipas.

"I was sent to Colorado, to the De Salvo ranch. I was sent there to work my ass out in order for me to sustain college. I asked no help to my parents, because I know that my love for you is enough to keep me surviving."
"Y-you were tortured..." She whispered as tears started to fall again.
"I was." He heaved a deep sigh. "By Mr and Mrs Verkins, ang katiwala ng rancho niyo doon. Hindi naging madali Thalia, I was raised pampered by my parents. Working isn't my thing. So it's normal if I'll fail, but it's not normal for them. Kada mali ko'y nilalatigo ako na parang kabayo, minsan hindi ako pinapakain. I became physically abused..."
"A-alam ba ni lolo ang ginawa nila?" She asked.
He shook his head.
