Every girl dreams of the freedom that lies ahead when you become of age. You're able to drink, go to the club and have a good time. Maybe if you're rebellious enough, do something memorable or something you might regret. That's a normal life, but for a person like me, Ava Montenegro, my life is more than normal. I live the life of fame and fortune, the life everyone strives for. People believe it's a luxury life with all the cars, extravagant gifts, designer clothes and many more, but with those comes the everyday struggle of the spotlight.

Once you hold the Montenegro name either through birth or marriage your past life becomes a nonexistent. Expect the flashing lights and the abundance amount of money right at your fingertips. Paparazzi watching your every move. It's as if you have to be perfect. Perfection, the word that is essential in my family. If you're not perfect you're nothing. Even when you think you're perfect you're not. You're constantly being judged by people who also think they are perfect. It is because of perfection why my family is where we're at. But what people don't know is the secrets hiding behind all that perfection. You see, even the most perfect people also have downfalls and setbacks.

I sometimes even wonder why I am a Montenegro, because I don't act like one. I'm that mysterious 'black sheep' of the family. Truth be told, I actually like it because all the attention is diverted to my oh so perfect family. My mom was married into the Montenegro family at the young age of 18. Before marrying my father she held the Valles name and because of their matrimony both families joined forces and are now the most feared and richest clans out there. We're the Medici's or the Borgia's (whichever one you think is the most powerful) of our time and one dares to mess with one of us. In just one snap we can do anything.

Like I said previously, I thought turning 18 would be the best thing that ever happened to me, but I was wrong when I found out I was set to marry someone. Whom, already which, has a girlfriend, who happens to be my cousin. My parents tried everything they could to not make me live the life they had. But they had no control over the situation. Because when you are born either Valles, Montenegro or both, you immediately become the puppet of the first generation. The generation of conservative and traditional thinkers. In my family love, power, and influence are earned and gained through money. The most evil villain of them all. Not only am I tied to the Valles-Montenegro by blood but I am tied to a man who is affiliated with a member of the Valles-Montenegro
Family. Now my life is tied. Pulled like a puppet to my family and my soon-to-be husband. For whom I will be tied to. Can I undo the knot I am stuck to and face the consequences of my puppet masters or will I forever their puppet?

I am Ava Montenegro and this my story, told in the third person point of view.

Authors Note: Well there you have it a little intro from our protagonist. I'm still getting a character list settled but I do hope you have gotten to know her a little bit. She will pop in from time-to-time in different parts to give her take on the events that took place. Anyways, I am looking for readers who are interested in being apart of the story. Let me know if you're interested and I will try to work you into some of the chapters.
