Should've Never Happened
She looked intently at Michael laying there next to her as the actions from last night lingered in her head. She kept denying that nothing never happened but the bed sheets and the mess on the floor said otherwise.
She wondered how her parents might react if they find out. She doesn't want to be on her dad's bad side. No one ever does.
She slowly got up trying her best not to wake up Michael. With her bare body exposed she walked into the bathroom quietly. She takes the robe hanging on the hook of the bathroom door, wraps it around her body, and takes a look at herself in the mirror. Her hair was disheveled giving it the nappy affect. Ava takes a deep breath trying to suppress her memories from last night, but it was no use. Every time she would close her eyes, she would see Michael's face and she could feel the heat of his body. Ava never intentionally wanted the actions of last night to occur, but it happened naturally. She blamed herself for the kiss that lead to it happening. Slowly she starred to cry.
Michael sighed in relief as he saw the right side of the bed vacant. But his sigh of relief was soon diminished when he sat up on the bed and saw the mess on the floor and the red stain on the white bed sheets. He began to worry, where Ava might have went this early at a quarter past dawn. Brandon was set to pick her up at 9am, so explaining to him where she had went will be a struggle. He checked the balcony where she could've of went to get air, but there was no sign of her. His last hope to check the bathroom made him struck gold. The door was locked, but on the other side he could hear Ava's sobs. They were sounds you wouldn't hear in a room full of people, but being that it was just the two of them Michael could hear loud and clear.
He knocked twice, "Ava, I know you're in there. Come out and let's talk please." He said almost pleading her. He really wanted to fix this situation.
Ava sat on the door of the bathroom door, hugging her legs sobbing heavily. Two soft knocks landed on the door and the sound of his voice almost pleading brought have back to reality. "Ava, I know you're in there. Come out and let's talk please." Was what he said, prompting Ava get up and unlock the door. She quickly wiped the tears off with the sleeve of her robe and open the door slightly.
Michael patiently waited for Ava to open the door and when she did, it opened slowly. Ava walked out with her head down trying to avoid eye contact with Michael.
"About the kiss last night. I'm sorry. I didn't want it to go this far." Ava said still not looking at Michael. "The kiss should've never happened." Her face was flushed, red with embarrassment. "I'll be the one to explain to Ate Cora about what happened. I take full responsibility of my actions Michael." She added.
"No need to apologize Ava. It was just an innocent kiss. If there's someone to blame it's me because I had no self-control. Don't worry about Cora, what she doesn't know won't hurt her. So it's all good. Let's just keep what happened between the two of us." Michael nonchalantly said as Ava heaved a heavy sigh of relief.
"Now let's clean up this mess we made before room service notices and before Brandon comes to pick you up." Michael said as he picks up the remainder of his clothes from the floor, helping Ava do the same as well.
Half and hour later, the two finished tidying up before Brandon came to fetch Ava. "I'm scared Michael." She said nervously to Michael.
"It's going to be alright Ava." He assured to her. "Remember, whatever happens here, stays between the two of us." Ava nodded as she walked to the door.
