Author's Note: Must read this in order to understand how Cora and Michael got into a relationship. The next few updates will be long and will be about the different characters, just so you guys understand the roles they will play in Ava's life. After the character analysis we will go right back into the plot. I would add the character analysis to the "characters" part but I want to put in a scene for each analysis. Adding it to the "characters" page is more time consuming for me so giving the analysis it's own page gives me more flexibility to write more. Thanks for reading. Enjoy this new update! -SKP❤️

Michael and Cora
(This is a timeline of there relationship)The first meeting:
"Michael are you coming?" Brandon asked. Michael was in his room finishing his thesis for his Bachelors degree in Business Administration degree. Michael always took his work seriously and would prioritize it more than his family. He would often miss out on birthdays, family events, and holidays. Michael always strived at getting the job done. He was someone who believed in no day-offs. He was always constantly working. "Let me finish revising this thesis for my Business Writing class, then I will meet you guys at the picnic." Michael said not turning his back to his brother. He was nonchalantly focusing on his thesis paper, sipping on his third cup of black coffee.
"You said that last time and when you arrived the picnic was done. You need to step away from that laptop of yours and take a break. You've been typing that paper for a mere 36 hours already. I went to work you were so focused on your paper, I came home same thing. I fell asleep and woke up and your still working on that thesis. The thesis paper can wait. For a fact, I know it's due next week. You have plenty of time to receive feedback and edit it. One day of leisure will not kill the content of your thesis but rather inspire it. You've been to cooped up in this house. It's time you get out and actually see sunlight." Brandon said gently closing his brother's laptop and opening the curtains that revealed the beautiful summer sky. He admired his brother's diligence and commitment to his studies but he knew that Michael needed a break. "You're slowly becoming dad, Mike. You talk about reaching out to wealthy investors about investing in your multiple bars and condos, but you aren't taking any initiative to do it so I suggest you take this picnic as an opportunity to expand your horizons. I know taking to people isn't your thing but that's what business entails. You need to be able to communicate your plan of action, why you're committed and so on and so forth. It doesn't hurt to talk to these investors that are going to be at the picnic. Who knows maybe you'll be trained by one of them and learn the ropes of owning a business. They maybe old Mike, but they contain a lot of knowledge and wisdom you can use in the long run. I am not forcing you or persuading you to go to the picnic. I am just letting you know what opportunities you're letting go of if you don't go. Honestly the choice is yours if you want to go. I just came up to tell you that we are leaving now. Think about those opportunities. Bye Mike!" Brandon said as he stormed out of his brother's room as he made his way down stairs to the living room. He leaned on the couch and stared at his watch and counted down to five.
"Five....four.....three..." he whispered looking at his clock. "Alright I am coming! Give me ten minutes to get ready." Michael yelled as a grin formed on Brandon's face. Brandon was good at convincing people of possible opportunities it for well for him and Michael knew his brother was right. He was just finding a reason not to go. But his brother gave him more reason to go. Michael knew that if he wanted to be proficient in his craft he would have to get wisdom and feedback on what he can do to improve.
"You said 10 minutes. It took you 20. Mom and dad got tired of waiting so they went without us and said they'll meet us their. And because you're late you're driving me and don't expect me to give you gas money. The picnic venue is on the other side of town little bro." Michael huffed under his breath. "Why so far?! Couldn't they have done it at Eagle Lake, like they do every year?" He complained.
"The Montenegro's wanted a change of scenery this year and you know that what ever they say goes." Brandon states firmly.
